Othram - General Discussion - #3

Assuming this was an Othram solve based on the language used in the media sources.

#UP15150, a partial mandible discovered in Oxnard, California, on May 10, 1984, was identified as Donald Scott Reich, a man who drowned in a boating accident in 1978 and whose body was recovered at the time minus his lower jaw.

Honored that Othram could assist Ventura County Sheriff's Office, as part of a longstanding collaboration, in identifying a 1984 John Doe as Donald Reich, born in 1944.

Hi, I came across this Jane Doe, a tiny little woman murdered so violently over 40 years ago. It's just very sad. She still has no name, no identity.

The work you've done and continue to do is just remarkable. I know the family and friends of the once unidentified appreciate it more than can be expressed. Bless you.

2 scenarios.

1. A robbery gone wrong. Killer could have shot her when he was caught off guard possibly during a robbery or burglary she walked in on him, Then he panicked and concealed her body in the cellar.

2. Someone she knew possibly husband killed her and then stayed in the farmhouse for many more years with the body still stored in the cellar. Possibly then left it there with the intention she would never be found.

Her skull has gone missing and it sounds like, per their policy, her other remains were cremated.

It just seems odd that the people who lived at the house back when The Lady was thought to have been murdered (6-8 yrs before her discovery) had no idea who she might be? The cellar she was found in was right outside the kitchen door, close to the house.

In 1997, 45-year-old Margaret Anselmo was brutally attacked and murdered in Spokane. For decades, no one knew who killed her.

Today, thanks to Spokane PD and Othram’s forensic DNA technology, her killer has finally been identified. Answers are possible for all of these violent crimes.

After 28 years, Margaret M. Anselmo's Killer is Identified
