Nearly six decades after Marjorie Rudolph was murdered in her San Rafael home, the San Rafael Police Department and Sacramento County DA’s Office, working with Othram, reanalyzed preserved cigarette butts to identify her killer. Grateful for funding support from Season of Justice.

After 60 Years, Marjorie Rudolph's Killer is Identified
I can't find an existing thread for Marjorie's case here.

After nearly three decades, the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, working with Othram, identified Arcata John Doe (1996) as Gregory Hugh Oliver. Special thanks to Jared Huffman for securing the funding that made this important work possible.

I'm not finding a Doe thread for Gregory under his NamUs number. Either there isn't one, or it's linked to a state unknown decedent number that I don't know.

Is there information available on what Solvipedia is right now and how it works?

What I’ve gathered from the thread is that there are aspirations of using AI to examine all cases and surface possible matches, but at this moment it is more of a wiki generated with scraped content.

How is the content being scraped? How is the website intended to be used right now?

What if there’s no DNA match? That’s where most investigations stop. But now, that’s where they start. No suspect. No hypothesis. Read the DNA. Follow the data. Watch the explainer... and get ready for our second episode of Trace Identity on April 16!
