New case solve: After 38 years, Orange County Jane Doe (1984) is Identified
Websleuths thread: NY - NY - Central Valley, Harriman State Park, WhtFem 30-55, UP9736, dyed hair, mother's ring, May'84

Apologies, but the name of the victim is being held back at the moment until the homicide investigation is complete. However, we are thrilled to share some good news in that yet another unidentified victim has been identified. Identifying these victims is the first step to seeking justice on their behalf.

Let's all start the weekend right... with one more solve!

Websleuths thread: NY - NY - Fishkill, Dutchess Co, WhtFem 20-30, UP8374, dismembered nude body in travel trunk, Mar'80

DNASOLVES: Dutchess County Jane Doe (1980) is Identified

We helped the NYSP and the FBI identify 44-year-old Anne L. Papalardo-Blake of New York City. She was brutally murdered and then unidentified for more than 40 years. She was formerly know as Fishkill Jane Doe and Dutchess County Jane Doe. Othram built the DNA profile and the FBI performed the genetic genealogy research.

A great, but long overdue, outcome.

Oh this is such good news! She's been one of my "most hope to be solved" cases for a long time.
