P.I. "Cobra" searches for Haleigh, feels confident there will be a break in case soon

The show is excellent. Like I mentioned above, it is based after real life psychologist, Dr. Paul Ekman, a pioneer in the study of emotions and their relation to facial expressions.

One of the best parts of the show is when they are describing how people are deceiving (telling lies), they use real life examples, and show freeze frame pictures of these people and the emotions the show is describing at that moment (extreme anger, hatred, etc). It's hard to describe, but really fascinating to watch. If you go to the Fox website, you can watch the past episodes.

I think it really sad that Cobra is getting what news is out there on the boards, what about Haleigh??? I think that crap about items being found, is bunch BS and we all been played. New Media has not falled for it or it would be all over, I been watching the news mixed all day, nothing. WHERE IS HALEIGH??? it seem like all about Cobra, CS and RC and now TN. And both sides are playing games. OH I forgot KP and DC. if Childern servces thought that JR was in danger, they would took that poor child. ASAP erhhhhhhhhh! WHERE HALEIGH???? they need to start looking for Haleigh, and Cobra need to do what he said he was go to do get to bottom of this and bring Haleigh home. Please!~!!

I think Cobra is right for trying to "shake things up" hopefully he can intimidate them into fessing up something, what will it hurt with him looking for Haleigh as well? the more looking for her the better, besides I think Ron & Misty are afraid of him to a extent, they know he is not messing around plus Im sure he would like to add "finding Haleigh to his list of people HE found, so im sure he's gonna do whatever it takes. more power to him.

Great thoughts Daisy Faithfull, So you are saying he could be working in conjunction w/ LE in an undercover way all along. Hmmmm interesting.

I think that it is a least a possibility... and just because they are working with him does not mean they are giving him authentic information on the case or any info at all. I suppose it is possible that they are simply asking him to do things without any explanation as to why. So many things are possible, it is so extremely frustrating because LE has told us nothing. :banghead:

Where this case gets so confusing is that Haleigh llived in the midst of approx 44 sexual predators, and yet in keeping it SIMPLE, most children that vanish do so at the hands of their parents or someone known to them. I think that is right, correct me if I am wrong.

You are right on with that one. With such a high number of SOs in the area families don't have to do much more than go to the grocery store, out to eat, or down to the lake to go fishing to catch the eye of a SO. All of these things are places SOs can go to without a fuss. Plus, with such a high number of known SO, it makes me wonder if there is a high number of unknown SOs that could target Haleigh.

We do have one double entendre here though, in that DS is a soon to possibly be RSO this June and Haleigh had even been to his house several times with either Misty or Mitsy and Ron. They were friends. Gadzooks, that sounds so ominous when it is written out like that!

Unfortunately I think that when we look at her life there is an ominous feeling to it. Its heartbreaking.

I can think of several cases where a PI inserted himself into a case and thought he was going to be the one to solve it. I've never heard of one that has actually solved a case though. I really doubt that Cobra is going to solve this one if LE and the FBI can't. It seems to me that most PI's are full of hot air...they talk the talk but they don't walk the walk. They get a family's hopes up only to let them down.

The smartest thing LE could have done was to keep Tim Miller and Co there for a little longer and let them search. I think LE told them to leave because it just seems to me that Tim Miller would have stayed when Ron went to him and begged him not to leave. Was it Tim that said "she's not here." If it was does anyone know why he would say that? Who told him that Haleigh wasn't there and how would anyone know? That doesn't make sense. Does LE or the FBI know something that we don't?

I think if it were in Tim Miller's control, he would find every single missing person. There are so many cases, so many people begging for help. All of it takes money. I wish he had a majic wand to wave & make all the money he needs for searches appear, but he doesn't. I know people are hurting, no one knows if they will have a job tomorrow. I just decide what am I going to give up each month that allows me to write a check to TES. I know the fifty or hundred I send each month is a drop in the bucket compared to what they need to fund searches, but I am still comitted to send it. I think TES does such a good job & how I wish they had a million bucks and a million members to do the job in each state.

I can see how you feel about not wanting to trust anyone but LE... but Cobra is the only one who is giving us Sleuthers anything about what is going on with the investigation. And it is difficult to take a man that calls himself Cobra seriously, but I think that's just a silly man thing. PIs don't have to worry about warrents, chain of commands, ego, and the right to privacy of those they are investigating etc. The evidence discovered may not be allowed in court, however, like the polygraph, It can point the LE in a certain direction. I don't think that private investigators are the ones actually solving crime, they are the ones who give police information that leads to an arrest.

In it he addresses this issue by saying that he is not working this as a child custody case. He says he wants to find Haleigh and prays with them. He would be taking dishonosty to a completely new level by lying at a prayer service.
I also think Cobra's presence there is to look at the people attending, there are cases where SO insert themselves into the story by attending these kinds of things. I would hope that Cobra is giving a good look over to those in attendance at the vigil. LE would stand out too much during a service like this, especially in a small town. I'm sure that there have been people that have no known connection to Haliey, Ron, Misty, or their families. If Ron can point these people out to Cobra so he can look at them people, there body language, expresstion, or if they are doing something out of place.



It is likely that Misty was told not to talk to LE. While people assume since she doesn't was to do the reinactment because she is guilty, when it could be that it is a result of LE's request she not talk with Cobra.

Me personally, if I were going to have a PI, I would want one who is so under the radar, not one who is very loud & in front of the media as he rattles cages. If everyone thinks anything they say may show up in the media, they are not going to talk.

Going north on 17 there is a bridge over the St Johns at Dunns Creek. It is a decent size bridge w a 55MPH speed limit and high enough for most sailboats to go under the roadway. There is the Freedom Bridge Just north of HWY 207into Palatka, whichis over the St. Johns. it is a major bridge in this area 4 lanes 2/n & 2/s. I hope this answers your question. A little more detail. There are no bridges going south of any consequence. Dunns Creek Bridge is appx 4 miles from Rons' house and the Freedom Bridge is appx 12 miles.

They said the same about Ron. When I said no way for pay They castigated me..I don't believe that Ron was paid off. I do not know Crystal so I can only I go on obeservations and her deamnor. I don't believe that either one is sophisticated enough to ask for money. I believe Ron only wants his baby back. Again I would like to believe the same of Crystal. Another fine evening in Paradise.

I wanted to clear up one thing on here and I know it is not related to Cobra directly but Misty, Ron, the children, going to S. house, or knowing him personally in any way has only been a rumor. There has never been any confirmation of that. It was allegedly told to a local by S. ex. It is only a rumor not fact.
