“Pennsylvania State Police in Lancaster have offered a reward for information on the disappearance of Matthew Whisman.

On July 3, PSP Lancaster began to conduct a missing person investigation on Matthew Whisman, 25, who was last seen at the end of March 2024.

Whisman is described as a white Hispanic man. He stands 5'8" and weighs around 155 pounds with dark brown hair. It's believed that he has ties to Lancaster County and Maryland.

The Lancaster Criminal Investigation Unit is continuing its investigation but Whisman's location is still unknown at this time. PSP Tips has announced a $2,000 reward for anyone who provides information leading to Whisman being found.

Anyone with information or who observes Whisman has been asked to contact PSP Lancaster at 717-299-7650.”

This article I believe references the same disappearance (given he was only 14 the height would likely be different today). The article states the missing 14 year old boy from Drumore Township was bipolar and had a learning disability.

Very interesting. I believe that is the same person. I did see the person mentioning the additional information, which sounded concerning. I wonder if it was removed from NamUs or if it was never included.

The circumstances surrounding the disappearance of Matthew Whisman, 25, are suspicious in nature, according to a news release from state police.

State police say Whisman was last seen during the end of March 2024 at a home in East Drumore Township, Lancaster County.

Three men will stand trial in Lancaster County Court on charges they killed a southern Lancaster County man in April by injecting him with heroin and dumping his body off a bridge near the Maryland border.

All three defendants waived their preliminary hearings Tuesday before Quarryville District Judge William Mankin. They are charged with murder, kidnapping and related offenses
According to prosecutors, Matthew Whisman was at the East Drumore home where his cousins had been living the night of April 3, when Absher and Gaddis got hold of Matthew’s phone.

They found a text thread in which Matthew indicated he would cooperate with police investigating the January shooting of a house in Maryland. Gaddis had shot at the house, according to police.

Pennsylvania State Police said Matthew Whisman was beaten, then Gaddis loaded two needles with fentanyl and made Absher, Alex Whisman and Matthew Whisman get into a car.

Absher drove, and when they got to a bridge over the Conowingo Creek, Gaddis grabbed Matthew Whisman’s arm and injected the fentanyl, according to accounts given by Absher and Alexander Whisman to police.

After Matthew Whisman no longer had a pulse, Gaddis dragged him from the car, and he and Absher threw his lifeless body from the bridge into the creek, charging documents said.
