Thank you Kapua. So the flight was risky for them because they would have to use their real identities. But I am guessing that it was more important to them to cover the distance fast than to remain hidden. So that again points to trying to get to Mexico. I bet they crossed over within a few days. But its just a matter of time before they are found. Unfortunately traveling Mexico "off the beaten path" can be dangerous.
I think faking passports is very difficult. I believe it is far more common that folks in need of money sell there valid passports to people who then funnel them to others in need of documentation. I travelled extensively in the Middle East and that was always the main security concern. That and stolen passports. But I still think one would need some heavy connections and serious cash to get a hold of two of these passports.
Drivers licenses would probably be easier but since 911 and the subsequent scandals at dmvs across the country, I would bet they are extremely difficult as well. Not like when I was younger and you could get fake ids somewhat easily.
I think that if they were on the plane to Texas and thought Mexico was a good idea they would have immediately hopped another means of transportation.
Does anyone know what the legal age for marriage is in Texas without parental consent. I just can’t imagine this guy taking off with this girl with no real plan to somehow get out of the mess he created.

The flight was a calculated risk. Because they *probably* left before they were even reported missing, they arrived in Dallas with a huge head start on LE. KE must have known that LE would eventually discover that they were on that flight, and he took the chance that TSA would question their relationship. Maybe they checked in separately, who knows? The idiot made a big deal about sitting with her, calling attention to himself.
(The flight was March 5, they were reported missing the same day, and spotted on the plane the same day. But we don't know the exact time of the flight).
Many are assuming that they were heading for Mexico, and I agree that Mexico makes sense for a few reasons, and explains why DHS is involved in the search. However, I don't think it's a smart move. Then again, taking someone else's teen daughter across state lines is phenomenally stupid.
Doesn't matter if they get married, doesn't matter if she is a willing participant, it is a violation of Federal law to take a minor across state lines without the consent of the custodial parent.

Well, he is already married, so a new marriage wouldn't be valid. As for his plan..... every time one of these situations happens I always wonder what on earth the adult (usually a man) is thinking his long term plan is. It is NEVER going to work!

Wasn't there a recent case where a young woman was able to escape the stepfather who kidnapped her? She had a number of children fathered by the creep. They were in Mexico for many years before she got away.
I wonder if Esterly read about it and thought, well the guy succeeded for so many years, but that he is smarter and that A would never try to leave. Delusional monster......I hope they are found asap.

I always wonder why they throw their entire future away for a few days or weeks with a giggly, naïve, underage teen. They could find 18-year-old women and stay out of jail.
Of course he had to assume his wife is going to file for divorce almost immediately. And rightfully so. I wonder if he is banking on laying low til that gets finalized considering he obviously won’t be contesting it. I don’t know anything about divorce so I am not even sure if it could work that way.

I have no idea. Maybe he doesn't either, only figuring things out one day at a time. But they can't even get real jobs in Mexico without a visa. Maybe he will plan to try to head down to Belize or somewhere else. But I can't image his 16 year old companion will enjoy living her life as a gypsy for very long. she is going to start missing friends and family soon.
Wish they could find the car, I am surprised it hasn't been located yet, but maybe they dumped it in norristown or one of the other train stops. But, that would take too much time I imagine since they were in a hurry to get to their destination. Maybe they altered their appearances.

The last I saw on the news was them showing the license plate and assuming it was left near the airport, or somewhere in Philly. I didn't think they found it yet, but I may have missed something.

I wonder if this perv was able to manipulate A but first becoming her "father figure" in her life. And then confusing her by starting to flirt, show intimate affection, etc.
I haven't heard anything about her father but that she ran away with her friends father who "was like a father" to her.
Just curious, we know groomed victims are usually vulnerable because of neglect or abuse, in this case it could be her lack of father figure... if her father isn't present in her life.

That was my bad. I misread a statement saying they think the car is somewhere near the airport as saying they found the car. No confirmation they found it yet.
