Great question. I check on the status of this case every day. For some reason there just isn't enough media attention.

The boyfriend of a missing Mount Washington woman is now a free man after being held for several weeks at the Allegheny County Jail.

A spokesman for the District Attorney's Office said Alex Lorenzi was released Wednesday after posting $100,000 bond. He was being held on drug charges, unrelated to the disappearance of Alivia Kail.

Lorenzi will be required to wear a monitoring device.

One thing I did notice: When you post on FB from a mobile device, it usually indicates that. Her FB post of 3/1 doesn't seem to indicate it was from a mobile device leading me to believe that it was from a computer.

I agree about the pics. Very odd that a young woman at the beach wouldn't post any pics of her trip if she was loving it so much.

The cooler with food struck me as odd too.

It's unfortunate, but I don't believe we're going to see a happy ending here.

I'm chiming in way late but I can update from my phone and have it read 3 different ways. If I text my status or comment on it, it will read "via text". If I use the Facebook app it reads "via android" but if I actually log on to Facebook in my browser it shows no different than if I posted from my laptop.

Excuse any errors posting "via android", lol.

I don't know the girl personally but I went to highschool and graduated with AL. He dated my best friend and treated her with not much respect and I think he used her for certain things. I never really talked to him in highschool but he was known as one of the a$$hole jocks in my school and from the impression of him I wasn't very fond of him. I always hear bad things about him or his family too...I don't want to jump to conclusions but I also wouldn't doubt that he has something to do with whatever has happened to Alivia. Makes me disgusted that I went to the same highschool as him. I hope they find where she is soon!

It really bothers me that LE has not gotten anything yet. He has a court date coming up for the unrelated charges, but nothing has been reported concerning Alivia. I know they took DNA from her mother and sister I believe to test against a blood spot they found on some material when the arrested him. That was over a month ago though. She's been officially missing for over 2 months and we know as much today as we did then. Frustrating.

I don't even think they've defined AL as a suspect. I can't believe the lack of everything (info, clues, investigation, news, etc) there is in this case.

PITTSBURGH -- Allegheny County humane officers said they have charged the ex-boyfriend of a missing Pittsburgh teenager with killing his current girlfriend's dog.

A criminal complaint states that the investigation began early on April 24 when Brentwood police stopped a rental car driven by a man who had the name Alivia Kail written on a piece of paper. Kail is the 19-year-old Mt. Washington woman who has been missing since March when she left her brother's home and said she was going to Florida with her boyfriend.

Alivia Kail, 19, was last seen March 5 and was reported missing by her brother.

Investigators say in one of the vehicles that Johns rented out, they found a key chain that has Kail's name on it.
