Amari's body has been located.

New Castle police chief Bobby Salem has confirmed that the body of Amari Wise has been found.

Salem confirmed the discovery just before 6 p.m., about the same time that police had closed off a section of Pennsylvania Avenue and appeared to be searching a wooded area near the area of Cascade Boulevard.

Some people did the right thing for a change and reported them. Sounds like they were two loose cannon.

New Castle Police report on their Facebook page that 47-year-old Todd Henry is being held at their police station. He is charged with criminal conspiracy to commit homicide, obstruction of justice and tampering with evidence.

His son, 20-year-old Connor Henry, was arrested Sunday by police in Ocean City, Maryland, during a traffic stop. Ocean City Police say they tracked him down after getting a tip that the younger Henry was staying in the area. Officers pulled him over on the Coastal Highway, briefly shutting down the busy stretch, while the arrest was made. He will face charges of criminal homicide and tampering with evidence. Connor Henry is awaiting an extradition hearing in Maryland.

Update from 2 weeks ago:

Todd A. Henry, accused of cleaning up the crime scene in the June 5 shooting death of 19-year-old Amari Wise, waived his right to a preliminary hearing Wednesday in Lawrence County Central Court.

Henry’s 20-year-old son, Connor Farris Henry, accused of firing the shot from behind that killed Wise, is awaiting a preliminary hearing that was scheduled for Wednesday but was continued because of a conflict with attorneys. A new hearing date for Connor has not yet been set as of Wednesday afternoon.

Connor Henry is in the Lawrence County jail without bail. His father, Todd Henry, waived his preliminary hearing, is out of jail on bail, also awaiting trial.

Connor Henry gets 11 to 30 years in prison

The bereft mothers of Amari Wise and Connor Farris Henry sobbed in court as they offered statements about their sons before Henry was sent off to state prison.

The 23-year-old Connor Henry, sporting an orange jumpsuit and facial hair, sat straight-faced and showed no emotion as Lawrence County Common Pleas President Judge Dominick Motto ordered him to serve 11 to 30 years in a state correctional institution with no chance of early parole.

Motto further ordered him to serve 11 to 30 years on supervised state parole upon his release from prison. He was credited for 2 ½ years he has already served in the Lawrence County jail. In reality, he will spend at least 8 ½ to 30 years in the state facility.

Todd Henry is facing charges, which are pending in court, for the disposal of Wise’s body.
