Yay! I'm so glad they caught him. Kudos to Philly PD for good old fashioned police work! Now off to read the articles.

O.K. I'm just gonna come out with this. It is a description. This guy is dark skinned. Dark. Why didn't they say a dark skinned Latino or African American man? Did they? If they did they didn't describe him as very dark. I would have said that as a description.

That beard I bet was to hide his scar. A scar from your ear to your throat? That's a big scar.

Ohhhhhh and if that indeed was a limp and not just a jailhouse hook I bet he got attacked because that was also on his left side. Just a guess but maybe.

I agree Filly. He looked lighter skinned in the composite IMO.

I agree! I think they said light skinned.

To tell you truth I would never picked out Rodriquez from the sketch:waitasec:

I have been following this thread and I just read on MSM that he had been caught. This is wonderful news!!!

Just wanted to take a moment for Elaine, Nicole, and Casey. Prayers for their families at this time as well.

Also may Crystal and Allison be resting in peace as well. Although not a victim of this monster they also suffered.

As a native Philadelphian I want to thank everyone that showed so much care and concern for our girls in Philly who participated in this thread. You all are appreciated.

Now I want to know if somebody knew who this creeper is. Obviously some cop in the 25th locked him up. I bet that poor cop is like "Him! I locked him up".

Looks like someone is getting $37,000 as a reward for tipping off police where they could find Rodriguez.

There's alot of good information at this link with photographs.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...-reward-sparks-tip-off.html?ito=feeds-newsxml

The house this guy was taken out of is sooooooo close to the murders. As suspected by many of us he lived right there. I was convinced after they found Casey behind that wasteland toward the tracks.

Drug convictions dating back to 2002? So they said on one of the news channels. That would mean he was arrested on drug charges at about age 12. Probably a lookout.

Originally they said there was no DNA in the data bank. Hmmmmmm. Gotta wonder what that was about.

The link says that the women that survived his attacks their testimony will be crucial. Lord willing if they are still out there they get help and will be able to testify.

Well this solves the DNA confusion.

Rodriguez submitted his DNA October 25th. Because of a backlog it was not uploaded until January 10th.

Link also mentions he was believed to be homeless living in abandoned houses. Again he knew the places to murder women where he wouldn't get caught.

Has family from North Philly who were brought in and questioned as well as whoever the two people on Mutter street were when he got arrested.

That leaves the tipster. My guess is it was someone in that house and they left and tipped them off. Maybe.

In keeping on the lines J.J. was thinking....was he receiving welfare? If so he needed a physical addy. Also I posted way back about the mission. I wonder if he had been in there to grab a meal?

Also statements from Elaine's parents. How very, very, very sad. Her dad said the money they raised was going to pay off her school loans.
