That has me wondering though. If someone hadn't copped in awhile while they were clean and then picked up they may not recognize the dealer. That way a woman would be more apt to follow him wherever. No date, but just to cop.

In Casey's case that to me is different. She was stranded in Philly. Couldn't get into a rehab. Probably no access to even a penny. I'm not certain that even an addict would have went down toward those tracks on Tusculum just to cop. Then again?

O/T J.J. years ago I saw a dead dog in the street I think on Cambria. It didn't appear injured. Just dead. Just laying there. It was there for days. Finally someone covered it with a door.:doh:

Raised by a nice family. He and his twin brother were born in Camden and went to foster parents who adopted them in Philadelphia.

He started dealing drugs. His father did not kick him out, but told him he didn't want that stuff around.

Shot in 2009 thus the scar. Someone mentioned the tracheotomy they were correct. He was semi cooperative with police after the shooting. Nobody was ever arrested.

Has a girlfriend and a previous girlfriend who were interviewed and said he was never violent.

His parents are in Puerto Rico. Neighbors said he was a nice kid albeit a tad hyper. He was known by the name Black as he is African American, but grew up speaking Spanish.

Says he never intended to murder any of the girls. He wanted fantasy sex. He stopped after he murdered Casey because he knew he had to.

The woman hit with the brick I believe it was said he was soft spoken and carried an ipod and said his name was Tony. Basically gave his real name.

My guess is that he attacked five women, two survived.

If he were arrested for drug offenses he probably never gave a sample. Most states don't take dna samples from everyone, just felons or those charged with certain crimes.

He gave a DNA sample after his felony drug conviction (heroin, cocaine, etc. are felony drugs in a lot of states including mine). He did that on 10/25 and it was entered into the police database 1/10. I'm trying not to blame anyone but I just hate knowing it was sitting there in the backlog while all these people were being attacked.

I don't think taking DNA from anyone *charged* with any old crime should be taken. If *convicted*, of a violent crime, maybe. Otherwise we're messing around with the privacy and lives of potentially innocent, or just victimless, people (e.g., the guy busted for going 10mph over the speed limit with a roach in his car ashtray; the mom who forgot to pay a parking ticket *cough cough!*).

Random? That's BS. The majority of the prostitutes there are caucasian but there's also Latino and African American women that work the Avenue as well.

Since there are not a lot of Caucasian women in North Philadelphia, Caucasian women tend to be more "marketable." It is considered more "exotic" and "daring" in some circles. It isn't even racist, just attractiveness and personal preference.

Like Reen said. He did give his DNA. It was sitting. There's not enough hours or manpower to process all the samples we now know.

Further back in the thread you'll see we discussed what we'll call "Stop and swab". They took 150 DNA samples from random men walking the streets of Kensington. No crime commited. No doubt more than a few may be felons. Just stopping and swabbing.

DA seeks the death penalty in 3 rape-murder cases.

Even as police fanned out looking for the so called Kensington Strangler Antonio Rodriguez didn't stop stalking his victims.

This is not going to be pretty I can tell you that.

According to court testimony Antonio Rodriguez told Philadelphia homocide Detectives that after raping, and strangling his first two victims in November without using a condom he used one while attacking his third victim in December.

When Detectives asked him why he wore a condom only on his third victim he replied "I knew that you guys were looking for a strangler. It was all over the news".

Rodriguez said he approached each victim on the streets and asked if they were prostitutes. He said they went with him willingly.

This creep claims that Elaine asked him to strangle her. I don't believe it. He panicked when she passed out and left her on the ground. ***Later he admitted to having sex with her even though he knew she was dead"***

Nicole Piacentini he claims he choked during sex and she bled from her nose. She eventually went limp. He had sex with her remains several more times. "I'm pretty sure she was dead those additional times" he said.

Casey Mahoney he claims started to get scared when they were having sex and began to fight. "I kind of lost it" Rodriguez said. Threw her on her back and had sex with her body.

He's so full of it this guy. In Elaine's case he says she asked to be choked but he's such a perverted freak he murdered two more women by strangling them and having sex with their bodies.

Here's an interesting article that ran in our newspaper today in case anyone is interested.

Our Philadelphia police department worked long, difficult hours. It details the problem with the DNA and the life of the girls on the street and how police got information from the girls out there. Quite alot of information that was not revealed before. That creep was not going to stop.

Really astounding to me was one of the undercover officers posing as a prostitute was actually standing with Casey Mahoney one night and was speaking with her friend.

An excert:

She said she was one of the strangler's survivors and that she had "dated" him once before the attack. The girl was with her friend Casey mahone from East Stroudsburg, PA. Mahoney did not want to speak. She kept wandering into the street, trying to find her next customer.

The prostitute said she couldn't tell if the man who had attacked her was black or Hispanic. "Just to be on the safe side none of us out here are dating any black or Hispanic males between the ages of 20 and 50".

Just as she said that a Hispanic male in his 20s pulls up and there went Casey, boom, right in the car".


How dang utterly sad is that?

Plus realistically if I were on a jury hearing some street prostitute complain about a rape that did NOT involve battery I would think the case was ridiculous.

Thankfully when "street prostitutes" complain about rape not involving battery here most people don't find it ridiculous.

BTW if you followed up the perp is African American with Latino parents. Go figure, right? Just sharing since you asked. When that DNA came in all our Detectives and cops on the street breathed a sigh of relief. They didn't want those girls to suffer anymore than they already do.
