The jury trial has been moved to 5/28. There will be another motions hearing on 5/16.

The docket doesn't have any hints as to why, but there was a wind storm Sunday and into Monday. There were tons of power outages and road closings.

Woman pleads guilty to strangling boyfriend's 23-month-old daughter

May 28, 2019

"A Clairton woman pleaded guilty Tuesday to third-degree murder in the strangulation of her boyfriend's 23-month-old daughter.

After entering the plea before Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge Anthony M. Mariani, Deasha Ringgold, 21, was sentenced to 20 to 40 years in prison.

As part of a plea deal, prosecutors withdrew a count of endangering the welfare of children....

Court records show that Ringgold was previously charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, robbery and reckless endangerment stemming from an incident on July 27, 2014.

According to those records, the attempted homicide and conspiracy charges were withdrawn, and the rest proceeded to court.

There is no record as to the outcome of those charges, and Ringgold was a juvenile at the time."
