The Pennsylvania State Police, Troop M, Criminal Investigation Assessment Unit, continue their investigation into the criminal homicide of Barbara Marie Solt.
On the morning of November 17, 1982, 27-year-old Barbara Marie Solt was found murdered inside her Colonial Crest Apartment, 1060 Cold Stream Circle in Emmaus Borough, Lehigh County.
Barbara had been out shopping and dining in the area with family members the evening before.
The victim, who lived alone, was a physical education teacher and sports coach in the East Penn (Emmaus) School District in western Lehigh County. Barbara was employed by the school district for approximately five years after graduating from Lock Haven State College.
Barbara was a Lehigh Valley native, having graduated from Louis E. Dieruff High School in Allentown, PA, in 1973.
