The victim was found in a vat within the Middle Smithfield Waste Water Treatment Center. Believed to originate at the Fernwood Resort on SR0209, Middle Smithfield Township, Monroe County, PA. Fetus 20 - 22 weeks.

Estimated postmortem interval: 2 days

Fetus eyes closed and could not be opened.

Poor little thing.

I hate to jump to any assumptions, but what about a sudden miscarriage? The mom may have felt the need to use the restroom and the baby came. I know this is super simplified, but I've heard it could happen. At 22 weeks, she likely knew she was pregnant, but the fetus would be quite small and somewhat easily passed.
