CHALFONT, Pa. - A Bucks County teenager is accused of sexually abusing a child she was babysitting, authorities say.

Camryn Taylor, 19, of Quakertown, turned herself in last week on charges of indecent assault, endangering the welfare of a child and corruption of a minor, said Central Bucks Regional police.

Camryn Taylor, 19, has been charged with multiple felony counts of indecent assault of a person less than 13 years of age, endangering the welfare of a child, and corruption of minors, in connection with the investigation by the Central Bucks Regional Police Department. She is currently free after a family member posted 10% of $50,000 cash bail, court records show.

Investigators were contacted in early April by the mother of the boy, stating her son had indicated he was being molested by his babysitter — identified as Taylor — according to the criminal complaint. The boy told his mother that he had a dream about performing a sex act on Taylor and added that he knew women had pubic hair because he had seen Taylor’s private area, the charging documents state.

When she was interviewed by detectives, Taylor admitted to the activity, police say.

Charges were filed Monday and she turned herself in on Friday, according to online court records. Bail was set at 10% of $50,000, which a family member posted.

During a forensic interview with the Bucks County Child Advocacy Center, the boy said the abuse began when he was 4 years old and provided additional details, adding that Taylor would make him wash his hands afterwards and told him not to tell anyone, according to the complaint.

Sentenced in March.
A former teen babysitter in Bucks County has been sentenced to jail time and probation after pleading guilty to molesting a 5-year-old boy in Chalfont on multiple occasions.

As part of a plea agreement with prosecutors, 20-year-old Camryn Taylor, of Quakertown, pleaded guilty in December to felony counts of indecent assault of a person less than 13 years of age and endangering the welfare of children. On Wednesday, Taylor was sentenced to 6 to 23 months at the Bucks County Correctional Facility followed by five years’ probation, with the remaining counts of indecent assault, endangering the welfare of children, and corruption of minors being dropped in exchange for her plea.

Sentencing notes indicate that upon Taylor’s release, she must either be enrolled in school and be working part time, or she must find full-time employment within 30 days. Taylor was also ordered to pay court costs, $587.17 in restitution, and to continue taking medication and undergo mental health treatment as directed.

Judge Charissa Liller additionally ordered Taylor be placed on sex offender supervision and she is prohibited from having any contact with the victim.
