He has switched vehicles. Compare post 402 headlights at bank with this post's (403) headlight shapes.

How can you be sure the lights you're seeing in that blurry, grainy image are headlights? For that matter, headlights of the car he's currently driving? If I'm missing something, let me know!

I would say she did not know him. Her gut/survival instincts kick in immediately. She knows she might be in for some trouble with this predator. She rapidly does everything she can think of to ward him off, to avoid a huge problem, incl perhaps attempting to appease him in case he's a somewhat harmless "mentally ill" male (extends her hand) before he begins dragging her down the block away from the corner, more vehicles and lights.

I've done that myself when felt very threatened and in danger, being forced to extend my hand, when I've found myself in similar situation in order to bide time, negotiate (so-to-speak).

It def looks like she shakes his hand, after her initial creepy meter was going off, and he wouldn't let go, whcih made her start to panic/ fight/ pull. I am not thinking he disguised himself as much as that he sold that credit card and the ATM guy might not have any idea what exactly went down to get it. It def looks like the build of 2 different people.

ATM photos.....

It looks like the abductor is wearing a motorcycle racing jacket of some sort. I've searched the last 30 minutes, but can't find a similar match. The jacket looks like it has an extra layer of ribbed padding on the front. Anyone recognize such a jacket?

ITA! I lightened up the photo and spent most of this evening trying to find something similar. My husband has some similar looking jackets, with protective body armor (for crashes, not gunshots) but I can't find a match for this. (aggravating!)

Another theory is that he drove by her walking home several blocks away from where he ambushed her. Of course, this would be a huge assumption that she would continue straight on that road and not turn anywhere if he didn't know her and was trolling for a victim. Unless he had seen her around the neighborhood and knew where she lived. I wonder if he knew of her and saw her around. She seems very stable. She has a great job and life. Maybe he watched her and studied her.

My first inclination was a perp who is obsessed or angry with Carlesha and very determined to take her. Someone she knows -- or maybe someone who has been quietly stalking her. A sexual or power motive, based on the preplanning, determination and violence level.

But now, from the second video, I'm wondering if it was a robbery motive like her parents mentioned. It looked to me like she was trying to avoid him, as you would a stranger in the dark -- then suddenly stops and faces him. I'm wondering if he called her name "Hey, Carlesha!" so she stopped and turned. He stuck out his hand, "Remember me? From _____?" so she reaches to shake his hand. Their interaction feels like he's a friend of a friend, maybe an acquaintance she only met once. Then he doesn't let go and she realizes she's in trouble and begins to fight. So frightening.

I am guessing Carlesha had a decent amount of money in her account. Maybe she had been saving up for something and had mentioned this to others. It seems to me, if this was a robbery, it wouldn't be worth all this preplanning, etc. unless he expected to get a lot of money (and would therefore need her cooperation, her PIN number). From how far away he parked and where he grabbed her, I believe the perp assumed that with a knife or gun as a motivator, he could easily get her to walk with him and get in his car, then drive her to an ATM, where she would give him her PIN out of fear. But he was wrong about Carlesha. She's a fighter. He ended up having to get very violent with her to get her in the car.

The smile at the ATM makes me think he was looking at the balance of her account and had either been able to access it, or was expecting to shortly. He seems very comfortable with these various hardcore criminal actions -- very cocky. He seems to have no anxiety, doesn't seem to look around for witnesses or cameras. This is my current read on the situation... but I am riveted to find out what really happened to poor Carlesha. She fought so valiantly! I sure hope the man who did this to her is caught and taken off the streets forever.

But why then drive to the Aberdeen atm?I still think he knew her from when she lived there and disguised himself.

Could it be she did not know him but he knew of her? He seemed to know when she got home and what bus and the fact he drove to Maryland where she was from.Could he have stalked her online from facebook or some other social media?
I do feel it wasnt random.

Very frightening!
Poor Carlesha.
She fought very hard.
In the first video, you can see the back of the car going up and down, up and down.
Praying for her safe return.

The jacket from the ATM shot is gone (just the hoody) but the time stamp on this is 6:03am, exactly two minutes after the cash withdrawl from her ATM card. This store has to be literally right next to the bank for him to be there 2 minutes later.

I'm guessing based on the map of the bank shown earlier it is the Shell Gas Station convenience store right down the street.

I am kind of leaning with the families most recent belief. I think it might be a sick creeper who was around her at the party, or heard about her and knew she was just leaving there, and had money in her account. She does the generous loving thing and pays for the godson's party, and it brings her nothing but grief. I hope they find her safe. I really want her to come home. :heartbeat:

This guy also has a peculiar gait. Watch the way he's walking in the convenience store video at about 26 seconds in when he begins to walk down the aisle toward the drinks. His feet face outward and he kind of waddles like a penguin. He's walking the same way when he walks up to the cash reg at :59 seconds in and then when he's walking toward the door on the way out.

The walk of the guy in the convenience store and the guy who abducts her look identical to me. The first thing I noticed was his/their walk and how it was kind of a waddle with both feet sticking out to the side.

I know it sounds funny but a lot of people notice that kind of thing (obviously you and I are two of them, lol). His friends/family/co-workers will notice it too, and recognize him in a heartbeat.

I agree on the walk. I noticed in the first video how he picks his heels up and you could see the white underside of his shoes very clearly.

This guy is not very dark skinned. Didn't the Grandma mention light skinned dark guy?
