You know, you bring up a good point. If it is [modsnip], then why are they showing us video and asking for help ID'ing the perp ? I'm thinking it may not be him at all. I've been on the fence all night. X BF stalker dude or random thieves. I don't know .

My fear is that the perp now has seen all this video and will do something even more rash. Hang on young lady! Keep fighting !!!!
I'm puzzled about the same thing. Yesterday during the presser the Grandma had no problem at all labeling this [modsnip] guy as the one she thought was responsible. But then, media reports come out saying that the family was shown the surveillance tapes and they didn't recognize the guy in the videos. In the same article it said that the grandma didn't recognize him either. So........?
To complicate things more...........Grandma said that her and Carlesha had lived in Maryland for 4 years. Carlesha had moved back recently for a job and to be closer to her family. The guy that grabbed her, drove BACK to Maryland and is hopping all over town like the energizer bunny. So, it stands to reason that through whatever means, this perpetrator would have almost had to have known Carlesha through some means, otherwise why drive two states over to abduct a total stranger just to get some spending cash ?
I think she knows this guy in some regard, it may just be through a friend of a friend or some such thing, but there has to be a logical explanation
why he grabbed her off the street in Philly, and then drove BACK to the place that she had lived previously, most likely his old stomping ground.
It's also very possible that Grandma didn't know all of her previous friends back in Maryland, especially the ones she may have known through social media. We all know that teens are pretty good at hiding information from adults, especially adults that don't approve of the crowd they are hanging out with. Grandma made no bones about the fact that she didn't approve of this [modsnip] character, which leads one to believe that she may have not approved of a whole lot of Carlesha's friends, which may have resulted in some of these "friends" being sheltered from Grandma's scrutiny.
It seems to me that she almost would've had to know this guy through some channels, even if it was a casual acquaintance through a third party. Just because the family and Grandma don't recognize him, doesn't mean that Carlesha didn't. My guess is that once she saw who he was there on the street, it surprised the hell out of her to see him standing there, and she knew right at that moment that she was in some deep doo-doo, thus the instant resistance.
