I guess this is ok to post.....the mom said last night (during a post-presser interview) that Carlesha had been living,until recently with her grandfather , but had moved in with her boyfriend in Philly two months ago. So exploring the thought that she didn't know DB , but she may have been his specific target, her recent move may have something to do with it. The timing seems interesting.....she had been living with her BF for two months and is abducted. Don't know if there is any correlation but I thought that it was a bit coincidental?

He should end up with about 350 years in prison for the current charges..........

Take off a little bit for good behavior and attending counseling classes.....he should be eligible for parole in about the year 2094.

If they grant parole on the first attempt, he should be getting out when he is about 120 years old................

Just finding out the news! This is the first WS case I've followed that has actually had a good outcome. I am so thrilled for Carlesha and her family, and for all the women out there that will no longer be in danger from this predator.

Given the severity and nature of the two crimes LE knows he's connected to, his sheer brazenness and his age (37), I hate to even think it but I wonder if he's committed more crimes like this in the past. Charles City is not far from Richmond and right between Newport News and Charlottesville, if they can't find a connection between Jesse Matthew and Cassandra Morton's murder, maybe they should look at this guy. Same for some of the other cold cases in that area.

I agree with all of you who say that just because she didnt' know him, that doesn't mean it was random. I do think she was a specific target. Looking at the video, if it weren't her who he was after, what was he going to do? Pace around the intersection until a lone woman happened to pass by? It was just too perfectly timed imo. Do we know if she routinely took this same path, same time? I gathered that she did since they had worked out a plan for her to call the bf to meet her and walk with her. Which didn't happen this time, for whatever reason. (She was attacked before making that call?) But that was the plan IIRC.

Lots of details on both cases but nowhere have I seen where in Richmond, which neighborhood, he attacked and abducted the 16 yo. It's odd because her family contacted Charles City LE on Oct 1 but everything points to her being taken off the street in Richmond proper. It really seems like these are targeted/retaliation attacks. JMO.

I thought they said she moved in with her bf 2 months ago? I thought that was what grandpa said at the presser (the one before she was found) but I could be wrong

I've mentioned the same thing. It does seem like certain areas have "clusters" of violent crime for years at a time far out of proportion to the population in the area, and this part of Virginia seems to be one of them.
