Pittsburgh Police have arrested Jhenea Pratt, 23, in connection with the April death of her 17-month-old baby daughter Charlette Napper-Talley after tests showed fentanyl was in the girl’s sippy cup.

She will face criminal homicide and endangering the welfare of children charges following her arrest on Friday.

Pratt called 911 back on April 5 after finding her daughter unresponsive.

Officers performed CPR and medics rushed the child to Children’s Hospital where the little girl died.

Fentanyl was found in Napper-Talley’s system and on her sippy cup, which was on the little girl’s bed.

I hate to click on the "like" button, and I probably should not read about these children involved cases. I just wish they would tie the tubes of these women convicted of murdering their little ones. They get out, and it starts all over again. If their children aren't killed the second time around, they are usually HORRIBLY abused. What can be done? What will be done? MOO

That the terms "fentanyl" and "sippy cup" can be found in the same headline is indicative of a sick society.

I know pictures don’t mean anything but she looks like she really doesn’t care at all.
I hate drugs.

Mom guilty in infant's death after fentanyl found in sippy cup Mom guilty in infant's death after fentanyl found in sippy cup via @ABC13Houston

PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania -- A Pittsburgh mother now awaits sentencing after she was recently convicted in the death of her 17-month-old daughter.

Jhenea Pratt was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter for putting a powerful painkiller in the infant's sippy cup.

Police say 23-year-old Jhenea called authorities in April of 2018 after finding her infant daughter, Charlette, unresponsive.

When emergency crews arrived, they performed CPR and rushed her to the children's hospital, where she later died, KDKA reports.

Authorities say the fentanyl found in Charlette's system was linked to the cup, which was on her bed at the time.

In a newly released video, the mother is heard blaming the manufacturer shortly after Charlette's death.
