If my husband or ex-husband or father of my child went for a 2nd interview, had a search warrant served on him for his phone, had his 5 girlfriends called in for an interview, I would not be able to get to a lawyer fast enough, to find out what I could do to block his access to my traumatized child until things were resolved, especially if he had a visitation order.

When was dad called in for the 2nd interview? When did mom call the attorney? Seems they happened pretty close together.

Good catch Just but now my mind is worrying so about multiple children & possibly a sex trade or illegal trade of some kind. gah..

N<modsnip> is young, trusting and naive. Chelsea may have been the same. I have a good friend with an autistic son, and is working with people because he is TOO trusting.
Chelsea may have been preyed on or targeted because although she is 14, she is cognitively impaired as well as autistic. She didn't return from school Monday. Nailla was abducted monday, and obviously someone helped her get to a park..not a police station or other house early on Tuesday morning. Is it crazy to think that may have been Chelsea? It would explain why Nailla was still in the Tshirt, and didn't have any other
Clothes with her. She may not have thought to grab anything.

Oh my. This is awful if connected which at first word seems very very possible. Find Chelsea & the creeps now. Is there any connection that anyone knows of either child to one another?

It makes my stomach turn thinking about it, but N <modsnip> said there were other children in the house.

I'm going to do some digging when I get to my computer, but Chelsea is at an elementary school level(she goes to an elementary school. Not an assumption).
Other than that, Chelsea lives on 60th, and N's <modsnip> school is on 60th and cedar.

Same comfort zone. But I'll let you know what I find. I just don't like coincidences like this.

I remember reading about other children in the house. I don't want to cause a stir but now with Chelsea missing in the same area, the LE must be searching for the suspects and can't find Chelsea or the abductors. gah. oh how I'm feeling for both girls families now and especially Chelsea. If she is the teenager who walked this little one to the park, what a brave girl she is.

NR's school is grades K-8, maybe Chelsea's is similar.

Winning a big money suit against the school costs the tax payers in that district. Public schools aren't like companies. :twocents:

One thing that bothers me is that Chelsea has been missing since the14th but LE says they just learned on the 17th that she is impaired.

Mother of abducted 5-year-old retains high-profile attorney

Kline on Thursday told the Daily News that Latifah Rashid contacted him Wednesday for help in the ongoing investigation around her daughter's abduction - about which police have reported no new developments.

"She wants to turn her attention to takinHowg care of her daughter, and so she thought that she needed help and reached out to me, and I told her that I would undertake the task," Kline said. "She ... fully wants to and needs to cooperate with this investigation. She wants to see the perpetrator or perpetrators brought to justice, and she has asked me to serve as her lawyer and her liaison and someone who can help guide her."

bbm (if I did it right!) She needs help taking care of her daughter so she hires a high-profile lawyer known to win lots of money for his clients? I think I'd be finding the best child psychologist to help me help my daughter. Sueing the school for a ton of money would be the last thing on my mind just a couple of days after all of this.

Personal injury lawsuits don't usually involve any money upfront. Lawyer gets paid percentage of the award, not upfront.

Who pays IF the lawyer loses?

Then they don't make anything. They only take cases they think they'll win. He sees a huge lawsuit coming so it's worth it to him to work for free right now, cause in the end it will be well worth it for him if they win.
