This case still completely horrifies me! I know there are parents that do horrible things to children, but to kill them in this manner is beyond me!

Next hearing May 25th. Per this article, the defense is arguing police had no reason to take phones & tablets, and they don't want photos of the death scene shown at trial. What the heck??

Lisa Snyder's lawyers want to exclude evidence from trial over children's hanging deaths - The Morning Call (mcall.com)

Haven’t read the motions, but the death scene photos is a fairly standard motion. The argument is that jurors’ shock at seeing dead children will unduly prejudice the defendant.

Lawyers for Lisa Snyder want to exclude her statements, search history from trial on children’s hanging deaths

March 2, 2022

[..]

Attorneys for the Berks County mother facing the death penalty in the hanging deaths of her 8- and 4-year-old children say they want to stop jurors from hearing about statements she made to officials before her arrest and her internet search history.

Lisa Snyder appeared Wednesday in Berks County Court for a status conference in her case. Snyder, 39, is charged with first-degree murder and other crimes in the deaths of 8-year-old Conner and 4-year-old Brinley Snyder. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.

Judge Paul Yatron scheduled a May 25 evidentiary hearing to hear testimony from prosecution witnesses on three issues raised in a motion to suppress certain evidence Snyder’s lawyers argue would be inflammatory and cause jurors to be biased against her.

Defense attorneys Dennis Charles and James Burke argue in the brief that although they instructed state police and district court officials that Snyder should not be questioned without them present, they believe she may have made statements before she was advised of her right to remain silent. Charles said in court the defense would also seek to exclude any statements that Snyder made to child welfare officials in the months after her children’s deaths.

Snyder’s lawyers also say state police lacked probable cause to search her Albany Township home and seize electronic devices including a cellphone, a touch-screen tablet and a laptop computer because they failed to explain how the devices were connected with the deaths of her children. They also argue that the data downloaded from the devices was improperly obtained and should be excluded.

The internet browsing history recovered from the devices includes searches for things that are “lewd, lascivious and/or unduly offensive,” the motion to suppress the evidence says, and Snyder’s attorneys asked the judge to review it in chambers. Snyder’s lawyers say they believe prosecutors may try to introduce the search history evidence in an attempt to “blacken Snyder’s character or reputation before the jury.”

Police get warrant for 2nd phone in case of sibling deaths

"We're going to go through each piece of evidence that we have obtained and examine it thoroughly until we can get to the bottom of this."

In the days prior to Conner and Brinley’s deaths, authorities say Lisa Snyder’s internet searches also included “how long to die” from carbon monoxide and several searches for the “almost got away with it,” a reference to the investigative television series on Investigation Discovery."

LS was free for two months before arrest and talked a lot of **** that should not ever be suppressed from this trial. MOO

@Niner -- while the calendar still shows the evidentiary hearing scheduled at 8:30 AM today, there's no corresponding docket entry or result from the hearing. Since the disclaimer at the bottom of the docket says the entries may not be timely, I'll check again tomorrow.

Recent entries made in the court filing offices may not be immediately reflected on these docket sheets . Neither the courts of the Unified Judicial System of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania nor the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts assume any liability for inaccurate or delayed data, errors or omissions on these reports. Docket Sheet information should not be used in place of a criminal history background check which can only be provided by the Pennsylvania State Police. Moreover an employer who does not comply with the provisions of the Criminal History Record Information Act may be subject to civil liability as set forth in 18 Pa.C.S. Section 9183.

@Niner -- As of today, these are the latest on the "event calendar" and "docket" entries. I guess the best we can assume from this is that the evidentiary hearing wasn't canceled, any next hearing was unconfirmed, and nothing new was documented on the record of action since March. These children deserved justice long ago -- it's been more than 3 years!
