Judge reassigned for the convenience of the court (i.e., Judge Yatron died 12/6/22), and the defense motioned to extend the time for mental eval.

I don't recall if Snyder has been examined previously.

Maybe we'll see some movement in this case after today's hearing. It's ridiculous that this had drug on as long as it has. I know Covid put the judicial system behind in most states, but this is just crazy. MOO

Her defense attorneys have filed many motions along the way as they build an insanity defense. Could be part of the reason for the delays.

Completely agree. Apologies - I misunderstood your earlier post and thought it was expressing concern for her right to a speedy trial. We are on the same page. It’s gone on too long. Probably in part due to the pandemic, but I bet it is more about her attorneys delaying the inevitable.

I think maybe the strategy in cases so abhorrent is to turn the legal proceedings into such a drawn out, technical boring process that the initial crime becomes secondary. I can't imagine how crimes like this and that.. person.. this week who also strangled her child to death could ever be secondary though. They're basically the worst thing in the world.

It's a fright indeed and LRS was the first person I thought of last week when a 19 yr old Missouri woman was arrested for having sex with a dog, and the act was posted to an app. It's my understanding these vile acts for paying viewers have been going on for some time -- and it's just a matter of who gets reported! I'm at a loss for people that are making millions on ASKfm, Snapchat, etc.
