[FONT=&quot]Corey M. Samuels’ body lay in the woods in Coaldale for more than seven months before being discovered, according to prosecutors who will begin presenting their case this morning in Schuylkill County Court against Stanley E. Kralik, one of two men they allege murdered him.

[/FONT][FONT=&quot]Kralik, 18, of Coaldale, heads before the jury of seven men and five women who will decide whether he is guilty of none, some or all of the seven charges, the most serious being first-degree murder, filed against him for allegedly killing Samuels in January 2014.

[FONT=&quot]If convicted of first-degree murder, Kralik faces a possible life sentence, although his age prevents the imposition of the mandatory life sentence without parole to which adults are subject.[/FONT]

The trial of a Schuylkill County man accused of killing a Marine more than two years ago has come to an end. Stanley Kralik has been found guilty on charges of third degree murder, conspiracy, aggravated assault as well as robbery and theft.

A sentencing date is scheduled for August 16.

A Schuylkill County man convicted of murder was sentenced Friday.Stanley Kralik was sentenced to serve 240-480 months for murder in the 3rd degree, 240-400 months for criminal conspiracy and 66 months-20 years for robbery.

A Coaldale man found guilty of beating a friend to death with a shovel in 2014 plans to appeal his conviction and sentence to the Pennsylvania Superior Court.

Stanley E. Kralik’s defense lawyer, Claude A.L. Shields, has filed an intent notice with the Schuylkill County district attorney’s office.

The notice does not include details of the reasons for the appeal.
