Sniper manual found in Frein household meant for special forces training

“Sniper Training and Employment,” the disturbing book found in the Canadensis bedroom of accused killer Eric Frein’s parent’s house is meant for special forces military training.

His father, Michael Frein, is a retired major with 28 years in the Army.

Despite a directive to destroy the manual to prevent disclosure of the contents of the manual, written on the title page, various copies are easily found on the Internet.

Police: Ambush suspect was military re-enactor

In 2004, he was charged with burglary and grand larceny after police accused him of stealing items from vendors at a World War II re-enactment in Odessa, New York. He failed to show for his trial, and was arrested in Pennsylvania as a fugitive from justice, said Lt. Craig Gallow of the Schuyler County Sheriff's Department in New York
.
...
As he has on previous days, Bivens used a news conference Wednesday to address the suspect directly: "In the event you are listening to this broadcast on a portable radio while cowering in some cold, damp hiding place, I want you to know one thing. Eric, we are coming for you. It is only a matter of time until we bring you to justice."

Thankya!

You know, I'm really suprised there is not more interest in this thread. Having someone intent on killing cops running loose is serious business.

My heart goes out to the residents in the surrounding area. One of my scariest childhood memories was when there was a murderer (of a teenage girl) on the loose. It was so terrifying for a child, and IMO not much better for a group of moms protecting their children (most of the dads were in Vietnam).

In this case citizens are dealing with the fact that someone is out there that deliberately gunned down in cold blood the very people entrusted to protect civilians...what does he care if he takes out a lay person or three while he's at it?

I know, just so many cases that need attention.
