Judge declines to dismiss charges in body in freezer case | fox43.com

A judge has declined to dismiss some charges against Cynthia Black, who is accused of having kept her grandmother's remains in a freezer for a decade and a half.

The York Daily Record reports that the York County judge on Friday rejected defense arguments that the statute of limitations had expired for charges of theft and receiving stolen property against 62-year-old Cynthia Black.

She is also charged with abuse of a corpse, among other related charges.

This is awful. However I want to know how Ms. Black pulled this off.

This dear grandmom was 94? Ms. Black was caring for her. More than likely the elderly woman had no living friends left. There had to be somebody, just one other person who asked where the grandmom was.

Plus how did she move a body around all by herself? She said she needed the money so "the family" could financially get by.

Lastly I'm going to guess grandmom didn't have direct deposit. Was that even around that many years ago?

Desperate people do desperate things.
