I can't watch the video either, just can't. So I don't feel like I have much standing to comment... just to say how sad I am for this little guy... Hope you eventually land with a family who loves and adores you, and shows it, not just says it.

It seems pretty clear he abused this child as well as the girlfriend and made the video to attempt to exonerate himself. The middle of the video is pretty much full of him standing on the porch, some weird sobbing going on, and saying "yo" "yo" at odd intervals.

Faking a british accent might be a fun party gag, but it really doesn't do you much good if you're making a selfie video trying to avoid felony charges for beating a baby.

Ummm the guy commenting on the video has nothing to do with this case.

Have you read the moms text messages to the dad? I would have killed her and then asked GOD for mercy. JMO

That is a very misleading description of the video.

For those who choose not to watch the video (I understand) I'll recap. It shows Dad approaching the house, garbage and junk strewn all over the front porch, and Daviere is in his carseat with a bottle of orange juice beside him. All you can see is his face, which is purple and bruised. You will only see Daviere briefly for a few seconds twice, if you decide you want to watch it.

Most of the video is blurry and you only hear the dialogue between David and Dalishia. A lot of David screaming "Why you do this, huh, why you do this" and Mom "I told you to come get him, oh well" and "maybe I kill him next time" (she's a real charmer).

At the end it briefly shows Mom with a fat, bloody lip retrieving her weave from the toilet. At least I hope it was a weave, for a brief moment I thought it was a cat. I hope to God it was just a weave.

ETA: Egirl is correct, a random British guy commenting has nothing to do with David's video. And I don't see anything in the video that shows David abused the baby at all.

The white guy with a british accent has nothing to do with the video. He's commenting on video he saw.

The video shows the baby with breathing on his face and what looks like a bloody nose for about 2 seconds, and then you hear him whimpering.

The rest is the video is blurry, action cam kind of weird. You can't really see much, but you can hear. And yes there's a lot of yo-yoing going on .

As for videoing, it was a good move. When I was getting my mother's cat back for her, I videoed everything from inside the apartment into the foyer. After I managed to get the cat inside and the guy he would come in with the cat out of the apartment I informed them I had video taped everything.

That did not stop them from calling the police but then I showed the video to the policeman, and he said he saw me being hit and the man trespassing into the apartment and said I wasn't going to be arrested. The lady said that I had shoved her down on the foyer floor but the video showed very clearly that she was standing up when I shut the door, and that I never left the apartment.

Video is a wonderful thing.

I've watched and listened to this video a couple of times and never did I hear a fake British accent used by the father. Nor was it "pretty clear" that this dad abused the baby. In fact, the very coldness of the mother, in my opinion, pretty much says it all. She beat that baby and then put him outside.

Very sad. Very sad and that poor baby. Dad may not be a real prize here, but nowhere in the video did I get the impression he was responsible for the injuries the baby suffered.

In addition, MSM has said that Dad called 911 and said his baby had been beaten. If mom was concerned about the child at all, she would have already have taken him to the hospital. Her story that a TV fell on the baby is unbelievable because if such a thing had happened - she would have either called 911 or taken the baby to the hospital, especially with the cut on the baby's head.

Interesting the way 2 people can look at the same thing and come away with completely different understandings.

Mom now facing additional charges, including making a false report to police the night of the assault on Daviere.

Police paperwork states that Salter told officers that the baby’s father pushed a television on their son, but doctors said the boy had injuries consistent with long term abuse.
Hudson learned that Salter’s hearing was postponed because new evidence had been presented. Included in that evidence is a video shot by the boy’s father, that had since gone viral on Facebook.
David Bryant is wanted on burglary and assault charges. Officers have not been able to locate him since the video was posted two weeks ago.

Update to this sad story with a happy ending for little Daviere.

A judge sentenced Dalishia Salter on Wednesday to 7 and a half to 15 years in prison for the 2014 incident.

The boy’s father took cellphone video of his son, which showed the child with two black eyes and a bloodied nose.

Salters was also ordered to have no contact with the victim. The child and his two siblings were all adopted by the same family.

The dad who videotaped the whole thing also lost custody of the child. I'm glad the siblings were all adopted by the same family.

Oh good. I'm glad this turned out well, and yes, the Dad didn't deserve custody of him either. Neither parent was worthy of of custody.
