If he has acquired any weapons, I hope he is captured before he can use them, including on himself.

Bolding and Underlining by me.

Where did he get the padding to cover his arms? This would suggest to me he had help on the inside.
I too wondered how he got past the razor wire.

Can you point towards a source?

JMO
<modsnip> ... seem to recall a towel maybe? And others noted that he appeared to have a bulge in his lower back under the t-shirt and above the belt line then as well. I think he also originally had white tennis shoes on. (I do not have references or source, but earlier threads above and images may have detail.) And I do not know if those shoes he had on the recent porch images are the same or not? (If assessed, could also point to possible aid or other external resources?)

Note for future considerations? Perhaps the athletic allowed niceties and dress wears for incarcerated prisoners and time at field to play basketball need to be reconsidered?

He keeps getting weather breaks but has to be exhausted and starving. I don't see how he can keep this up. JMO
Some people feed off of the adrenaline. It's a function of personality, psychology, and personal biology. Some people have higher levels of resilience, also. An example is of this mix is seen in combat veterans. The stress of combat will break many, but some respond to well to the stress. He may be feeding off of the threat of capture and the challenge to avoid it.

I hope someone will be so kind as to give me a heads up when he gets stopped somewhere. The driving is making me feel seasick.
I can't express enough how disappointed I am that he has not been apprehended. It does not seem possible with 400 officers and dogs that this guy was able to elude them all and steal a vehicle-- when this travesty is finally over maybe other heads should roll besides the prison guard with 18 years of experience---

That's what I've been thinking. They are saying he will become exhausted and distressed and then make mistakes. I don't know about that - I think he is thriving.

JMO I think it is possible LE isn't sure whether or not he has kids in Brazil and doesn't want to speak one way or another.
some people thought that the white material bunching up past the back of his pants could've been a small towel he tucked there and that maybe they are allowed small towels while playing basketball ...

I personally thought it was just his boxer shorts bunched up but the question does remain, how did he protect his hands and arms from the razor wire
This makes a lot of sense and wouldn't surprise me.

This is why I can't watch those videos lol.
Hi!,
It has been reported that he speaks Portuguese and Spanish, very little English.

Surprised me that he speaks Spanish and I would bet that if he does its not very fluent. Portuguese speakers have a harder time with Spanish than the other way round IME. Mostly they can understand each other with gestures. As Tocantins province has an Amazonian frontier its possible that he had contact with nationals from other countries, especially if he were involved in illicit activities. But that would be pure speculation on my part.

My husband puts on an amusing Portiñol in Brazil, I suspect they dont understand a word he says, but the effort is appreciated!
I really appreciate this helpful information about the languages in the area and about his language abilities!

Edited my post as I realized I couldn't find a source and have only seen it as speculation.
I saw speculation upthread that it may have been towels placed in the yard while the prisoners were playing basketball that he wrapped around his arms.
I just re watched the video of his crab crawl escape up the prison wall.

Video is embedded in this article
Notice there is 'something' protruding on his back just below his waist.

I wonder if that is a towel or other padding he used to get past the razor wire?

Video posted 1 hour ago and is 3.50 minutes. A resident suggested that they need to bring the National Guards out now.

JMO I didn't watch the video before keeping that in mind so rewatched and I see what you mean. JMO I suspect it is probably a sweat towel or possibly two small sweat towels he concealed for the purpose.

JMO I think they have needed to bring the National Guard into it for several days now. This is not a job for just local LE to handle. MOO

Spot on! Thank you

I see some suggestions of LE strategy here. Those kids have got to be in protective custody, but if I’m LE I’m cagey in press about whether they’re at the sister’s and I’ve got Portuguese-speaking LE in that house hoping the doorbell might ring.

He sure looked refreshed in those shots from the doorbell camera. He may have had more sleep than LE has been able to get.

Agree, no dark circles under eyes or mosquito bites

Who were the ones in tan camouflage and rifles out during the past few days? Thought that was NG.

HECK! He was in Spring City today! National Guard location in Spring City at Pennhurst. LOL

I actually haven't seen any photos of those people. Since residents were being interviewed today asking for the National Guard and there hasn't been any mention of them working with local LE I assumed they weren't but I could definitely be wrong.

If I was LE I would be staking out the nearby Peter Camiel Brandywine Rest Area on the westbound PA Turnpike, in case he carjacks, steals a parked car, or hitches a ride on the underside of a semi.

i'm betting he gets into car, left unlocked.
