I may blow the margins with this...and need to repost,.......and very much hate to ask this question because it can become a nightmare of what people may actually see, BUT, does it look like there may be someone in the drivers seat in the pic?

Hollyb, do you mean those red stripes one can see? If so, that is part of a Scion FR-S's interior. That's a motive of the sport seat. hope this picture isn't to big:

Sadly, I won't be surprised if this comes back as an accidental OD. :(

There is no one sitting in the driver's seat.

The Scion FR-S comes with red trim material around the perimeter of the seats.

if I missed it, I apologize.... do we know WHO she bought the car from?

Perhaps, the "car" was targeted due to (insert crime here) by previous owner and someone(s) were seeking (payment, revenge, etc)

The car is 2013, probably no previous owner.

Did she buy it by herself?

A 2013 probably came right out of a dealers lot. Looks like a dealers key tab as well in her hand

That's the million dollar question for me. Here we have a 19 year old girl with a serious drug problem who according to court documents just got out of jail and was headed to an inpatient rehab program. Somehow she ends up with a brand new vehicle and is found dead inside that vehicle the first day she owns it.

Why on God's green earth would anyone buy her a brand new vehicle in the legal / toxicological state she was in? Was this a "got out of jail gift"? If so, wow. Here's a brand new car. Now go and have some fun before we send you to rehab!

I still think we would've heard if this was an accident by now. I think police and/or the folks who found her would've stated the condition of the car (if it were wrecked) to the press. The hush hush nature of it, along with two jurisdictions investigating, makes me think foul play. I suppose an OD could be possible as well, but it's doubtful LE would've called two DAs on scene without visual evidence of a likely crime (gunshot/evidence of assault).

This is all speculation, of course.

I'm sorry if this has been posted already.........I just read it

Thanks. Reading this article made it clear why two jurisdiction are investigating her death. I suppose one is where she was reported missing from and the other is where her body is found. Sounds absolutely normal to me, no mystery there. Still, it's strange they are releasing so little details about what the scenery suggests happened to her. I agree with everyone else who said if it looked like a car accident LE probably would have said so already.

I don't think he's still incarcerated since the event in 2010. How would he get beat up in May 2012?

ETA: I take part of that back, according to Pennsylvania vine search, he does appear to be incarcerated. Not exactly sure on what charges though.

Not necessarily.

If it was a vehicle accident, it needs to be determined if caused by operator error (impaired, reckless, error) or other interference (another driver / vehicle, passenger, road - atmospheric conditions).

Answer(s) could lead to warrant(s), arrest(s), charges filed.

Either way, key questions need to be answered before such a case may be closed.

Numerous parole violations and the eventual revocation of his parole in August of 2012. You's got to read this guys court records to understand how messed up he is. I believe he was high when he got beat up in May of 2012, tested positive for drugs (violating his parole - again) and was sent back to jail.

THANK YOU. Seriously though, the thanks button was not enough.

After reading that she participated in a group beat down so brutal it sent a guy to the hospital, she was being sent to rehab, AND she had just gotten out of jail I was like "WHO THE *&^ IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD GIVE HER A BRAND-NEW CAR/ENOUGH MONEY FOR A BRAND-NEW CAR?!"

I agree with the points you made, that's exactly why i wrote the word "probably" in my post. In most cases LE or eye witnesses would say it was a scene of a car accident/wreck after discovering it. The cause of the accident/wreck doesn't need to be determined right away and the public doesn't need to be informed about that on the spot. Only that the car was involved in some kind of accident.
