From September:

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/judge-denies-bail-for-pennsylvania-man-accused-of-killing-girlfriend/

A Pennsylvania man who is accused of killing his girlfriend and then burying a refrigerator with her body hidden inside was denied bail, reports CBS Pittsburgh.

On Wednesday. the judge called 57-year-old George Biegenwald a predator of women, according to the station. He did not, however, reject the possibility of a bond hearing at a later date.

The suspect had been ordered to stand trial last week on charges related to the death of his girlfriend, Donna See.

From the link in post #1 -

"Does his actions look good following the death? No. He clearly panicked. He said that from day one. He said he was confused." DiLucente said. "There's not a manual that you can receive when you are born that says, 'If you defend yourself and someone dies, then what do I do next?'"

Imo, the lawyer should have taken his own advice and remained silent. The defendant claimed -

Biegenwald told investigators that she was bleeding and he tried to revive her and stop the bleeding, but then put her in the bathtub and turned on the shower, after which she died, authorities allege in a criminal complaint.

He said he abandoned her sport utility vehicle in Homewood, stuffed her body into a basement refrigerator and spent the next three days digging a grave in his yard where he placed See's body, pouring bleach on the ground to keep animals away, authorities alleged in the complaint.

Good luck finding 12 people to agree his actions were that of a confused person lacking a manual on what to do.

March 2016:

Man accused of killing, burying girlfriend skips trial, pleads no contest

http://www.post-gazette.com/local/north/2016/03/29/George-Biegenwald-of-Shaler-who-is-accused-of-killing-and-burying-his-girlfriend-skips-trial-and-pleads-guilty-to-killing-Donna-See/stories/201603290156

Biegenwald, 58, of Shaler, pleaded no contest to third-degree homicide and related offenses in the 2015 death of Donna See, whose body he stuffed into the refrigerator and then buried, and an assault on Patricia Johnston, another girlfriend he’d met online.

“I wish it never happened, but it did,” he said as he stood in handcuffs before a judge. “Sorry.”

Allegheny County Common Please Judge Jill Rangos immediately sentenced him to 20 to 40 years in prison.
