Pittsburgh active shooting situation: Information about the suspect

We've learned who is the suspect involved in the active shooter situation in the Garfield neighborhood of Pittsburgh.

Action News Investigates learned that the home was owned by William Hardison Jr.'s father, who sold the house to a company called 907 East Street. In May, the company filed a complaint to evict Hardison Jr., but they say he refused to leave and also refused to pay rent for the past five months.

Last week, a judge granted a request by the property owner to evict Hardison Jr. and lock his belongings inside the house.

Hardison Jr. does have a criminal history. Action News Investigates learned he entered a guilty plea to carrying a firearm without a license. He got two years probation. He also entered a guilty plea to forgery or altering a title or registration where he received three years probation.

Back in 2005, Hardison Jr. entered a guilty plea to an accident involving death or injury and got two years probation. And in 2001, he entered a guilty plea to fleeing or attempting to elude and disorderly conduct. He received six months probation in that case.
