PERRY COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Investigators are still seeking answers surrounding a 1980s homicide case where a woman’s decapitated body was found near a Perry County river.

DNA testing is underway to see if investigators can get any matches.

The case garnered national attention. It was aired on the crime documentary show Forensic Files in March 2003.

A $5,000 reward is now being offered for anyone who can provide information that will solve the case.

Answers sought decades after woman’s body found by Pennsylvania fisherman

The last time anyone reported seeing 31-year-old Edna Posey alive was May 26, 1984, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
