@nbcphiladelphia.com

Hope that link works.

Eight people were shot around 3:55 PM near SEPTA's Broad Street Line, and Einstein Medical Center. Among them a 70 year old man, and 71 year old man who is in dire condition.

So far it is believed to be a lone gunman who it appears walked into Einstein later seeking treatment.

O.K.? The "Mayor" as usual makes a big tadoo.

I saw this story yesterday and again today and thought it odd that there wasn't more information released. So now I see why. Police don't seem to really have any information. It doesn't appear either man arrested was the shooter(s).

Saw this on the news this morning and my first thought was OMG has our Filly been shot???

I am genuinely sorry for the victims & their families, witnesses, and investigators -- and happy, Filly, that you're here web-sleuthing!

Thank you @Arkark and @Dallas Volunteer for links.

No, PW most things don't get set straight here. Like the victim at Volunteer Dallas link said "It s*c*s". So sad the elderly can't even hit a Dollar Store or whatever to get food.

My SIL was an RN at Einstein. Either my brother or nephews dropped her off/took her lunch/picked her up. Grown woman denied to take herself to work.

Better than getting a tattoo "Caught in the crossfire". Sympathies especially for families of the elderly.

Our little bit of snow overshadowed the O.K. coral.

Crazy, right?

I remember this. I felt such sadness for Gerard's widow, Kristin.

Philadelphia dad killed protecting daughter from carjacker | Daily Mail Online

"A father of two has been shot dead in a suspected carjacking gone wrong, likely after he refused to hand over the car keys with his daughter strapped into the back seat.

Gerard Grandzol, 38, was fatally shot in the face at point-blank range around 8pm on Thursday, just after he parked his SUV on the one-way street outside his family's home in Philadelphia.

Grandzol, the married father of the two-year-old daughter in the car and a five-week-old newborn daughter, worked as the executive director of Special Counsel, a legal recruiting and staffing firm."

Stay safe, my friend.

In the paper today there was a tiny sliver about the shooting next to a huge article about Wentz being traded. I love the Eagles like any other good Southeastern Pennsylvanian, but I was much more concerned about the lives lost than sports.

When I was in nursing school (around 2015), I had a clinical rotation at Einstein and would take the subway to the transportation center. I always felt safe since it was always the morning or afternoon, but certainly wouldn't now with this happening in broad daylight. My heart definitely goes out to the victims and their families.

Images released of suspects in shooting near SEPTA's Olney Transportation Center

Philadelphia police are asking the public's help in identifying three suspects and a vehicle in connection to last week's mass shooting near SEPTA's Olney Transportation Center.

Police released three images on Friday showing the suspects and an older model blue Ford Explorer.

"Through the several hours of video recovered during the investigation, detectives are looking to identify the following three males believed to be responsible for the shooting," police said in a press release.

The suspects are described as:

Suspect #1 - Thin build, green mask, wearing a dark colored jacket with white stripes down the arms of the jacket and an emblem on the chest, dark pants, and dark shoes.

Suspect #2 - Tall, thin build, all dark clothing with white or light-colored shoes.

Suspect # 3 - Medium build wearing all dark clothing.

Police said they know the male suspects frequently drive in an older model blue Ford Explorer.

Investigators say they do not know of any of the victims were the intended target. The motive for the shooting is not yet known.

Yep, all about Carson and an aside for these poor people.

I'll be getting on the El at Bridge/Pratt now alot to go down to Jeff. I think it should be in the paper I have a pheo on my adrenal gland so when I'm on the news for going bonkers on somebody I have witnesses.

Public transportation on El. Nobody with masks. Why? You can't smoke your weed with a mask on. Tourist? Don't get on or off at 2nd Street. A historical part of our city. Not your lone addict shooting up. Nope. Groups. On the dang platform. Nobody cares. People camping on the El I don't mind. They are homeless and sleeping in warmth.

Our El is akin to the Broad and Olney hub. It's convenient for me, and if someone accompanies me the parking is outlandish.

At least so far when they shoot at Bridge Street it's not into a crowd. Oh we have separate police just for public transit. SEPTA police. They're busy with other things because their hands are tied.

Big free for all. I'd also like to thank gentrification for this mess. Keep praying for the victims from the other day.

A rider got on the bus and stood next to the driver. It appeared he was waiting for another passenger to get off. Nobody did so?

He exited and starts shooting at the bus forcing passengers to duck for cover.

Right after a huge rally demanding more protection on SEPTA an Asian woman was attacked on the EL. Amazingly when the El stopped at 2nd street police grabbed the suspects.

The rally was held after three boys had the living daylights beat out of them. A young girl intervened and was beat as well. Lots of racial slurs used against the boys and girl who are Asian.

Riding that El and busses is dangerous. Not enough SEPTA police. The security guards hired by SEPTA have also been in trouble for "arresting" ummmmm riders. Taking things personal.

Yes, SEPTA on the El is where the poor woman was raped.

The rally was huge due to the Asian hate perpetuated in the city.
