Some good advice regarding his comic book collecting addiction would be "Tain't funny, McGee!"

Impressive investigation. Two months elapsed from Beth's disappearance to husband's arrest and confession for murder. There were no media leaks. During ongoing investigation, LE released virtually zero information to public. Then, when arrest was made, AG disclosed a complete report of investigation as well as full GJ statement to the public, in addition to press conference. I am wondering why more disappearances and murders are not handled as efficiently.
It was maddening to the online sleuth in me because we were limited in discussions. But you aren't wrong. Impressive work in a relatively short period of time.

Yes indeed, poor Emma! She has lost both her grandfathers recently, her grandmother has been put into care because of dementia, her mother has been murdered, and by her own father! It puts most people's little troubles in perspective, doesn't it!? I pray that Emma has enough good friends and family, and enough natural resilience to one day move on and have a happy life.

Imo a pending separation/divorce was going to 'ruin' him ?
So ... murder was a better option ?
Poor Beth !!!
Yeah really I mean hes REALLY not going to be opening a comic book store now!!! Also my husband collects comic books and while he’d probably like to open a comic store I’m wondering if I should make him promise not to kill me.

It's been awhile since I posted in here. I'm friends with both Beth and Steve. At first I really wanted to believe in Steve and that no friend would be capable of such an act, let alone harming his own wife of 30 years in her own bed and killing my friend Beth. I happened upon this website at the outset of Beth's disappearance and just looking for ideas to her wearabouts. I never would have guessed this outcome and am very saddened at Beth's loss and for HER daughter. I'm bitter at this animals actions. I am glad that I went and searched for Beth and I'm grateful for the police work. The police could not have saved her but I still have questions but may never get answers to those. Thanks everyone for your support, your ideas to help find my dear friend Beth. Bless you all and especially Beth's soul and her daughter and family. I also hope you can donate to the 🤬🤬🤬 gofundme for her daughter. I have met Alisia and Jen and really do like them and trust them. Bye

And she had to watch people on her dad's side saying lies about her mother to deflect from him :( I hope she has a really strong support network, it's so young to lose your parents in such a way

@dustingforprints Sorry for the loss of your friend. Truly good friends are not easy to find.

And sitting in prison and losing everything else in the process is better than going through a divorce? What is with people like that, anyway?

I think in their delusional minds they must think they will never get caught, but as we know from watching all these cases, that is very rarely the case. I guess their ego gets the best of them. RIP Beth.

Their ego in thinking that they won't get caught, and also their ego in believing that they matter so much more than the victim. :(

Apparently, the day after killing Beth, he went to breakfast with his married 'girlfriend' as well. I hope he Rots!
According to the Grand Jury Statement it was the same day actually. Killed Beth in the morning and then spent the day with the girlfriend, lying to detectives that he'd gone fishing instead. How could he not realize police would try to verify what he was doing the day she went missing? Their findings of the truth were part of his undoing. His story made no sense, which I guess is how his attorney was able to make it a 3rd degree, but I think it made no sense because Steve is a bit of an idiot who lived in fantasy land.

[..]

Grand jurors didn’t believe any of the defendant’s claims about his wife’s alleged affair, the report says.

According to investigators, searches turned up no evidence of any such affair, plans for travel, or even any marital discord – at least on the victim’s behalf. Rather, investigators allege, Stephen Capaldi was having an affair with a woman in Lansdale, Pa. and that he even traveled to her residence on the day his wife went missing.

An eventual search of the defendant’s phone allegedly confirmed a six-month-long “emotional and sexual affair” with the other woman.

The grand jury report also details a litany of incriminating internet searches, including: “how to get away with murder”; “how to delete Facebook messages”; “can you avoid police detection by turning off your phone”; “how to control your dark impulses”; “how to disappear and never be found”; and “FBI Handbook of Crime Scene Forensics”.

Those internet searches allegedly became more tell-tale and gruesome in the days after Elizabeth Capaldi was dead and include: “Quikrete cement”; “Reciprocating saw” and “DIY blacklight.”

The report goes on to detail an increasing amount of evidence presented against the defendant during the grand jury. One such point of evidence was a collection of narratives about Stephen Capaldi’s large credit card debt, his purchase and sell of thousands of dollars worth of comic books, the presence (or lack thereof) of the $13,000 he claimed was stolen from the basement, and even an alleged motive related to all of the immediately foregoing: “the fact that he had found someone (his mistress) that he loved and who supported his dream of opening a comic book store with his brother while his wife did not.”

After the grand jury session, the defendant allegedly approached the district attorney and agreed to accept the above-noted charges. He also agreed to lead investigators to his wife’s body. Some of those remains were buried along the Delaware River in Tinicum Township, Pa., while other parts of his wife were left in a dumpster in Montgomery County, according to Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub.

SC is out to court this morning…sentencing? I’m running into paywalls at the Bucks County Courier Times and Doylestown Intelligencer. If anyone can access them or another newspaper with an update later today or tomorrow, kindly post/summarize. Ty!
SC is showing back in custody: Custody Status Date Dec 27, 2022 03:14 PM EST. Also checked the docket for Bucks and could not find him on the docket.

Silly silly man, he dropped himself right into it, didn't he? Maybe we should all be more careful of what we search for :), it's no use asking all those quite intelligent questions if they can be found so easily.

So I guess Googling "how to get away with murder" and "how to control your dark impulses" returned no results?
