How interesting that Rafael Robb can so easily move back into the home and use the kitchen in which his wife was obliterated.

Shades of Michael Peterson who kept the bloody stairway in its criminal state, the better to try to shimmy out of his culpability. But it backfired, I think, when the defense had the jury visit to see that stairwell. Kinda creeped them out, that he could live with that.

OK, has everyone read the article in the Times Herald? Well, now you know where Mr. Robb's rage came from (and has come from in the past). Money. He is so so cheap and you can tell by their home as well as the car she drove. Poor Ellen. He has money in Israel as well as hidden in other places.

and for Ellen

If Mr. Robb wouldn't give Ellen money for household expenses, her certainly wouldn't give her $4K a month!!!! And, doubtful he would let his daughter leave the house and live with her mom. Money truly is the root of all evil:furious:

Hedidit is right, the Times Herald article contains more info:

For example, his behavior after coming home to find Ellen's bloody body.

Also Copper, the dog, was locked in Olivia's bedroom when normally the dog had the run of the house.

COURTHOUSE - Montgomery County District Attorney Bruce L. Castor Jr. Wednesday for the first time labeled University of Pennsylvania economics professor Rafael Robb as a suspect in the brutal bludgeoning death of his estranged wife in the couple's Upper Merion home on Dec. 22.

The 56-year-old Robb, a native of Israel, is the lone suspect in the case at this time, according to Castor.

But before he decides to arrest Robb on basically circumstantial evidence for the slaying of 49-year-old Ellen Robb, Castor said he has given Robb and his lawyer, Norristown defense attorney Frank J. Genovese, one final chance to convince him that he and detectives are heading in the wrong direction with their investigation.

Castor said he had a letter delivered to Genovese on Tuesday giving him until noon today to come forward with any information that he or his client might have that would eliminate Robb as a suspect.

"I have got to be sure before I make an arrest, and I am not there yet," said Castor. "If Dr. Robb or his lawyer have something to take him out of the crosshairs, I'd like to see it."

Too bad Raffi didn't know about the new law which keeps a divorce going despite death of spouse.

Too consumed with holding tight to his money. He's a bad dude. Emotionally and physically abusive to his wife who wouldn't hurt a soul. The biggest heart! She gave gave gave. He deserves life in prison....then he can see what it was like for Ellen to live in his prison:behindbar

It does seem telling that anyone who truly cared for someone for so long.. regardless of their separation, could reside in the place that their spouse suffered so greatly at the hands of another.. to me that just spells such complete emotional distance or complete lack of emotion on the part of the husband.
I feel greatly for the daughter .. how awful to live in the place where your mother was viciously killed.., and with the knowledge that your father is suspected of doing so. Wouldn't you think if he had any emotional response what so ever that for his daughters sake he would move them to another place where she wouldn't be tormented by the knowledge her mother had died under such horrific circumstances right where she is sitting having breakfast... or thinking that somone could break in again ( that is if she beleives the bs story he created) and harm her.. what a cruel heartless and unfeeling man to place his daughter in such an awful position.

OPME, to move and live somewhere else would cost $$$ Do you see what I mean? And as for emotions....well, what you see on TV is exactly how he is always.

He has until noon today to give the DA something exculpatory?? uh...Anyone care to start a pool naming the hour and minute he's arrested?

Does Ellen have relatives nearby who can take over Olivia's care, Hedidit?

Not really. Uncle a state away with strong family.

Poor Olivia! I can't imagine what it must be like to be in that house where her mom died. I hope for her sake that the DA steps up the pace so she can get out of the storm. Although she will miss her friends etc., being with family in another state will give her a better chance at recovery, IMHO.

Yes and it would require thinking about someone else's feelings and or emotional health. I am sure ( if I am reading between the lines correctly) that in his mind there is nothing to get over.. just go on as if nothing has happened.

Did anyone just hear the interview Shepard Smith did with Genovese (sp), Mr. Robb's lawyer ? He is railing the prosecutor Castor and saying he is basically the equivalent of Nifong by calling Robb a suspect.

So I quess this is the new mantra of defense attorney's ?

I thought she was a victim of Domestic Violence. I can't believe I just heard some lawyer on FOX crooning for this guy, saying Mr Robb is being unjustly targeted because he is the husband! Can you believe that?

Why are there so many merciless and brutal domestic murders lately? There has to be a reason. I don't think this guy fits the norm though, as I think his brain has a disfunction that makes him emotionless and very cruel. His signature in his killing of her was demolishing her identity I think, no feelings at all, and I bet he swung that instrument into her face like he was a robot doing a job.

I wonder if they will deem him not able to stand trial because of that. He can be a brilliant professor but still warped in his brain with a disfunction. Scandi

Did Genovese explain why when asked to take a polygraph, Robb said to investigators,
“What if I fail? Then I will be in more trouble."

Oh, I disagree, scandi! From all accounts of the extent of the damage done, it sounds like a rage-filled onslaught and that can only be powered by tremendous emotion. Hardly robotic!

I do agree that his feelings for her are ZERO. The only feelings he has are for himself. sniff!
