This is the only documentation on the DA's site at the moment.. its filed with todays date... this one quote really stood out to me this time when reading through...

" Mr. Bowden also told detectives that Ellen told him that if anything ever happened to her, [her husband] should be considered a prime suspect. "

I also noticed that but I interpret it differently. I think it says that he killed her, cleaned up, left, returned, staged the scene, then called local police.

That doesn't make sense to me. I think he staged things before he left. He would need to in case someone else showed up!

But note the mention of the speculation that he thought local police # wouldn't be taped! Just as we thought!!

He probably killed Ellen, panicked (maybe), cleaned up, showered, staged the window/burglary, left to dispose of the weapon, clothes and shoes already bagged, ran around trying to do a few things for alibis(Ha!) and then went back for the (faux) reporting just finding Ellen's body.I hope he gets everything coming to him.

The DA's affadavit does refer to a "second divorce". There is nothing available locally, but he might have been divorced before coming to PA. Probably in California where he got his graduate degree. Still, if there is a first wife from 20+ years ago, she cannot have gotten much money compared to what he has now.

The part about the policeman coming undercover to do the glass repair and chatting him up is kind of funny.

The TV talking heads should really read here before they start blethering.

I they are confused about the "second divorce". Ellen had filed 13 years ago but didn't complete the job, probably due to Olivia being conceived. I could be wrong, though. Even so, he was with Ellen for about 20 years. He should be financially "over" any prior divorce. Nobody gets spousal support for that long.
Luthersmama, I think you are right -- the media just got mixed up in their haste to do report and "second divorce" refers to the one Ellen filed before. Good catch. There have been a bunch of other little mistakes too, like the fact they keep saying he called 911.

IMO, somethings fishy. A professor of "Game Theory", would know a whole lot more about playing the averages and not has left such a blatant trail of quilt. This has stupid written all over it, and we know he's far from that.
He's up to something......

I was posting same time you were, so didn't realize second divorce was part of affadavit. Who knows. Everyone should read that part in the DA's affadavit about the undercover detective posing as a glass repair asst. -- great stuff! I guess this is what other posters meant when they said LE was waiting for Dr. Robb to slip up. Sounds like they really got him now!

Mr. Bowden also told detectives that Ellen told him that if anything ever happened to her, [her husband] should be considered a prime suspect. This sickens me..........

Hedidit, I saw the same quote this time while reading through the press release.. it had the same effect one me as it appears it did you..
Its just awful to think she suspected he would go to such lengths..

That and i also noticied this time that she orginally had asked him to move out.. but he refused. So it was then she made plans to move to the rental instead of staying in the home as she had originally planned.

So sad. You know, he even looks mean to me...his eyes are cold and dead.

Prayers for Olivia...poor little girl. How horrid for her. At least we no longer need to fear for her safety, but we do need to continue praying for her for strength and for her to have many, many loving people around her for the rest of her life. Chances are her dad will be convicted and she will never have either of her parents again. :( I don't suppose this jerk considered his daughter and her future when he did this?? :furious:

I am a little late to this board, as I am in N.C. and trying to follow the JY case. (All without cable...Grrr)

Can someone give me the Cliff Notes on who Mr. Bowden is?

TIA!

This is a really interesting read. Thanks for posting. I liked the part about the detective posing as one of the glass repairmen. Classic.

Thank You,

So sad, what a waste. Robb ruined a lot of lives and forever changed countless others.

I wish Olivia strong family support and a lot of self-esteem. She is going to need it.

I have a candle that has been begging to be lit. Perhaps tonight is the night.

Do the neighbors have plans for a vigil or something now that Raffi is behind bars?

  • #436
I'm sure all of us couldn't wait to hear the news that Raffi is behind bars. I know I was waiting for that. However, I'm not as happy as I thought I would be as nothing can bring Ellen back. That, in itself, is heart-wrenching.

Keep in your pockets all the wonderful attributes of Ellen that so many have provided and pray for peace.....and love for Olivia.

I think a candle light vigil is definitely in order. It seems there are a lot of friends/neighbors here.

Jury trial and burn baby burn.

Sorry for being mean but he deserves it. Ellen did not.
