Jury trial and burn baby burn.

Sorry for being mean but he deserves it. Ellen did not.

This will be one serious trial unless he admits to the crime or cops a plea. I believe he will lie and deny to the end. His warped thinking is he's doing it for Olivia. So he can try and get back with her. She was his life.

I would suspect his attorney will request bail at some point.

This is Murder 1. And no bail. Done deal

Does PA have a no bail clause on Murder One? The reason I asked is in TN where Mary Winkler is charged with Murder One for murdering her husband..... all defendants must be granted bail unless the State states they are going for the Death Penalty.

Knowing both of them- I agree. He wants to do anything to get back to Olivia at this point. Sadly, I think she still believes him and will continue to do so for some time.

Since he turned himself in, what's next?

First thing should be an arraignment hearing Hedi...this is where they will be read the indictment against him and he will say Not Guilty most likely.

Then they may set up a bond hearing. His lawyer can request one even if it is denied. I am sure the lawyer will use that he has never been in trouble, his clout in the community and that he turned himself in order to try to get bail.

Then there will be a hearing to set up a preliminary hearing unless the DA states when that is going to be in the arraignment hearing.

Hope this helps some.

That doesn't mean his lawyer can't request a bail hearing though. Does anyone know if PA allows bail for murder 1. As Ocean said Mary Winkler got bail there, it depends on the State laws.

I so hope the daughter Olivia is okay, another of his victims, despicable IMO.

What a Sad Day,

I know it has seemed like a long day to me. Can't even imagine how horrible it is for the Friends/Neighbors that knew Ellen.

I just wanted to wish each and every one of you some peace.

IF I knew how to do it, I would send Olivia a rose this evening. As I don't...I have a candle lit tonight and am writing her Mom's name on the balloons that we will release tomorrow.

Peace to All!

Olivia knows her father was arrested. I don't know that she knows what that could mean for the rest of her life (and his) with all of the consequences. Hearing the words and processing and integrating them -- I'm not sure how she's realy coping over these past 2+ weeks. I believe Ellen's family will protect her as much as possible from the grim reality as long as possible. They are very close.

This is correct.
I hope Rafael Robb becomes the poster boy to show what happens to wife killers.

Wow! I was gone all day and saw this on GVS. I have a lot going through my head right now about this but just want to post a few things.

It is said on GVS that Olivia is with an uncle.

There is also, it appears, a 'tool' missing from the garage. The reporter or LE person said all the tools were arranged in the garage (on the wall) in a row. There is one 'space' vacant!

I had a neighbor once who was very sweet, three kids, (one a baby) who's husband was an engineer. They were very quiet, never heard anything. But, I heard from another neighbor the reason the wife would be absent from sight for a week or so at a time, was because she was waiting for a black eye to heal..............they eventually moved to Utah..............the kids were very quiet and meek.

Soooo.........she originally found the rental for HIM, but he refused to move so she was going to go instead?! :slap:

IMHO, he's guilty has heck! OH,............and the game is NOT OVER. But I don't think he'll win this inning, timing, section, or whatever. The jury will see the puzzle put together by the DA and send him where he belongs! :behindbar

If some of the purpose of his decision was to maintain his relationship with his daughter, he should have thought about the 'possibility' he didn't get away with it. IF he had, he would have seen it wasn't worth losing his precious daughter and perhaps ruining her life. What a 🤬🤬🤬!

That's what bothers me, he didn't seem to really put forth much of an effort to get away with it.

I think that he did. He went to different places before he went to work and at the one place he made sure that he got a parking ticket. He made sure that he was seen at work and he may have had some fruit on the seat of his car but it didn't come from that market that he stated. He probably thought LE wouldn't question the owner of the market...that they would just take his word that the fruit came from there when it probably came from the house. He dropped his daughter off at school, etc. I think that he went to some trouble to have everything that he did and where he went down pat for LE.

He just forgot to come through the window that he broke or to at least walk in the broken glass and track it all over. He said that he touched his wife's face when in reality she didn't have a face left. He messed up but I think he thought he had it all figured out and that he wouldn't get caught.

I think this idiot will confess. Break down and cry and say, "but she was going to leave me". He will try to get sympathy. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I believe the professor killed is wife, Ellen. The condition of her unrecognizable face was his way of wiping her off the map, as if she never existed. I also believe he made a strong statement when acting as pallbearer, dressed in clothes one would wear to a football game, holding a drink in one hand, while grasping his wife's casket with the other. It was as though he was walking through a sports bar, not part of his wife's funeral proceedings. His statement rang loud and clear: "I celebrate your death, and won't don a suit and tie, as that will accord you respect. I want the world to know what I really think of you."

I believe his hatred was motivated by the thought of what was to come. Ellen was going to expose him and his practices of "hiding money". I do believe that money is the root of all evil. This is especially true for those who love money more than they value a human life, the description of which seems to fit Professor Robb.

I wonder what the professor's former wife thinks of him, and what kind of marriage they had? Was he abusive?

I believe the Pros will ultimately prove its case against Professor Robb. This crime scene was too bloody and heinous for him not to have left his calling card. The amount of overkill and the utter destruction to Ellen's face, coupled with the knowledge of what Ellen was about to reveal, build a strong case against Robb, which will likely earn him the scorn of his future jurors. I do not believe he will be a sympathetic defendant. Hence, he will likely be convicted and sentenced within the highest end of penal parameters.

I am delighted he was as poor a criminal as a husband.

I believe this attack was not premeditated but a rage killing done with the tool that is now missing from the garage. The staging was done after-the-fact and the alibi was ad hoc and this improvisational quality is shown in all the holes in it. He didn't think it all through as he might have had he planned.

Confess? Never, IMO. He is too arrogant and wants Olivia's love too much. He will join all the innocents in prison, IMO, Scott & Michael Peterson, Jeffrey McDonald, et alia AND the acquitted criminals running around, namely Orenthal Simpson, Robert Blake, Robert Durst and Michael Jackson.

I'm sure I missed someone. Them, too!
