They returned guilty verdicts on charges of murder in the first degree, criminal conspiracy to commit murder in the first degree, criminal attempt to commit murder in the first degree, murder in the third degree, aggravated assault, and firearms not to be carried without a license. A man whose actions led to the death of Dover Area High School senior Emily Shoemaker was sentenced to five to 10 years in state prison Tuesday morning. Sterling Frantz, 23, of York, had been charged as an accomplice in the 17-year-old's death, but pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and agreed to testify against the man who shot Shoemaker, DaiQuan Dickerson, a 20-year-old Red Lion man.
DaiQuan Dickerson was sentenced Friday after a jury convicted him of murder in the shooting death of Emily Shoemaker.

Caylah Webb, 23, who was Dickerson’s girlfriend at the time of the shooting, also pleaded guilty May 17 to a misdemeanor count of obstruction of justice. She was sentenced to the guilty conviction with no further punishment other than to pay costs for prosecution. Webb already did jail time and supervised release after she was arrested as part of the homicide investigation.
