Yes, that could be Ernestine. Age, height, location, and dates all match.

That's only like 5-7 miles away. Map from where her car was found to approximately where the remains were found: خرائط ‪Google‬‏‏

Ernestine's Namus doesn't show this case as a rollout: The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)

But her photo seems to show a good teeth while the UID has a big gap between her top teeth.

I'd say it's worth submitting anyway. Recons have been known to be wrong.

That article is heartbreaking. That poor daughter. To be 14 years old and have both parents gone. It sounds like Ernestine was a great mother to her daughter. I hope Barbara gets some closure. I wonder if anything came out of investigating the boyfriend....?
