Pennsylvania has very similar Statute to many of these States,
but there are some important distinctions as well.
In general, Stand Your Ground Laws are a way to establish a Defense for justifying use of force in either a Civil or Criminal context when a person is Sued, or Prosecuted for their use of Force.
They are an extension of the Self-Defense Exception to the ban on using Force.
