The "revenge" explanation is falling by the wayside, according to the police commissioner. I think there was a misinterpretation yesterday and that he never specifically said "revenge" or "grudge". It may be that he said "It is because of something that happened 20 years ago" and his wife and the police interpreted that as meaning something that someone did to him, not something that he did himself.

I suspect he was starting to think about molesting his own children and he did this instead.

I hope his 7 year old daughter who he loved to take shopping is checked out.

Anybody want to bet that he molested his own kids? These people are sick and will stop at nothing.

Yep. My son, in 2nd grade, has had lockdown practices since Kindergarten. He told me they run into the corner and hid with the lights off, for practice. He was scared and the teacher sounded panicked even though it was a drill. He said she ran for the light switch and door, then ran all the kids into the corner in a panicl.

This is just a very sad state of affairs of our society today. How tragic that a child can't go to school and feel safe. When I was in second grade, (in early to mid 70's) the thought of someone coming into the school and blowing us away was never even the thinking of the day. Our drills were for tornado and fire. What a sad statement on our society today. :(

i don't knowif it has been mentioned or not, but is he amish? i am confused by all the reports. Was he maybe kicked out of their village for molesting children. i can't figure out what he was carrying a grude for 20 years for. he would have been 12 or 13 then.

He was not Amish. Here is a link to the local news. Hope it helps.

This is one sick 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. He was not out for revenge. He wanted to play out his sick fantasies then kill himself.
He was shocked at how soon police arrived. He planned on being in that school for hours with those poor girls.
I agree, Usher737.

Thanks for posting this. I agree with your assessment. This is so sad - I cannot fathom the terror those little girls must have felt.

Thanks for the link, usher

I didn't realize that two of the deceased little girls were sisters...there are so many "Millers" is the amish community, it didn't even register...my goodness I feel so bad for these families....:(

I sure hope we all remember to keep this 🤬🤬🤬's own children in our thoughts and prayers. They too are victims. And if they don't get the much needed help...this could manifest into something dangerous in them as well. We know they already have the genes for it. I hope the mother gets them all the help they will need....and some for her too. I always think of the families that these evil people leave behind. How betrayed and confused they must feel.....

I just in and I don't know if it was reported.
Sheppard reported that the guys dark secret was that he molested some young relatives that were 3 and 5 years ago and he was now dreaming of doing it again............So is this the 20 year ago reason.
And thus........he goes out to do this devil of an act.

I had posted early about the amish tradition of Rumspringa I think people are very surprised to hear some of the things that really go on in the Amish community. Google Rumspringa it is quite interesting.
Two or three years ago there was a television show that focused on the Rumspringa. I can't remember the name of it at the moment but it was a reality show that took 6 or 7 amish teens and put them in a big nice house with 6 or 7 non amish teens from all walks of life. They showed the amish teens everything from Christian rock shows to gay bars. At the end of the series the amish teens had to decide whether they wanted to go back or not. Two decided not to even though it meant that they would never see any of their family members ever again. That is basically the decision they have to make. A life in the world with no contact or to live with their loved ones in the community. I found the show fascinating and really felt for those teens who had to make this huge decision.

As for the monster who did this I think that he did pick this school because it was convinient and he would have more time to do what he was going to do before police were involved. He was most likely molested at the age of 12 or so and then began molesting later. He probably struggled with the images and dreams he had been having and for a very long time fought those feelings and tried to suppress them. He didn't expect the police to be there as fast as they were and that pushed up his plans. I think all along he had planned to molest those girls and then kill them and himself. These dreams and thoughts had been with him for a very long time and I think he decided to give in to them one last time and then end it so it could never happen again. Just my opinion of course. I pray that these families heal quickly and find the comfort from God that they have always depended on to get them through.

In light of the most recent news he obviously only let the boys, babies and adult women go because they were not part of his plans. :furious: What a sick 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.

Or maybe he was just a sick evil 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 which is what I think.

This sums it up perfectly! What the hell is happening? The girls in the other school shooting were also sexually molested but since he was planning this in advance it wasn't a copy cat or what gave him the idea! Any more details come out about the other pervert? These two recent cases go way beyond what has been happening in our schools.

That show was very good. It is a big decision for the teens to stay or go out in the world and not come back.
I had always wished they would have gone on to tell how each one made their way.......some were still questioning as the show ended.
But, here we have this child killer who was not Amish but invaded their space. A sad day for those in the beautiful area of Lancaster.......

Not coming back to live is one thing, but why can't they even SEE their family members again? This is heartbreaking. I saw a show about this - not sure whether it was the same one you are talking about but it really got to me. What a decision!

They do have such a peaceful, united way of life. But how do they view individualism? Is there any room for it?

Those poor school girls, it is just tragic, as all these senseless shootings are. If only his wife had tried to get him help, but maybe she didn't realize...and maybe it wouldn't have mattered.

Thanks for giving us the name of the show. I just loved following the story of each of those teens. Now, if we just knew the whereabouts, and how they turned out.

I'm confused.......he molested family members 20 years ago. Why are they saying he's out for revenge. How can he be out for revenge on a horrible thing HE did?

This has really got me upset. My daughter was molested when she was 5 by a "family member". This was 5 years ago and he is still a juvenile. He was 12 at the time. This "pig" (I've got worse names for him) served his punishment by the court, etc. and she nor I have had contact with him. The last time I saw this 🤬🤬🤬 was at the court house 5 years ago. But now this has got me terribly upset thinking, "My god, what if this 🤬🤬🤬 turns out like this?" My daughter and I have moved on with our lives, although she will always be scarred and so will I with what we went through. It just takes something like this to bring back all that hurt and pain, knowing what he did to my little girl.
