This uid was found in October. It's probable that she had had the baby by then.

Diane does look like the reconstruction. Her age, race, height (within 2 inches), hair color, and timing are all consistent. Annandale, VA and Jonestown, PA are 149 miles apart, which isn't that far either.

Also, is it just me or was the age range on NamUs updated? I don't remember it being 12 - 19. That's really young.

How about Rosemarie Roginski? She was only recently added to NAMUS...
PA - PA - Rosemarie Roginski, 21, Ambridge, January 1973

The LE contact is the same for both the unidentified girl and Rosemarie so pretty good bet she's being checked and is likely how/why Rosemarie was put into NamUs.

I sent the investigator the old news article about the attack on Rosemarie a while back - right after Rosemarie showed up on NamUs and I realized Tpr Nathan Trate was the contact for both.

This article from Penn Live is from early February 2016, but it breaks down exactly where she was found.

Jonestown's Jane Doe given new face in 1973 murder case

On Oct. 10, 1973, a pair of Lebanon County deputy game protectors thought they smelled a poached and decaying deer, but, instead, found a naked female body in the area of what the locals called "Five Points" a crossing of Moonshine (Route 443), Ridge and Tomstown roads in Union Township.

I attached a map with an 'x' where she was found based on the road names given in the article. It's right on the edge of the military base.

<modsnip: broken link>

During the late 1960s and early 1970s, Fort Indiantown Gap served as the Armys largest Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) summer camp. Many young officers receiving commissions at that time later served during the Vietnam conflict.

It looks pretty rural and not the place an outsider would venture to dump a body. I wonder if she was visiting someone on the base.

Did the investigator ever get back to you about the attack on Rosemarie? We weren't able to find a follow up story on the attacker being apprehended.

Wow. Am I looking at the right UP case? The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)
There are no rule outs here, yet it has very good potential, better than some that I have seen with a ton of rule outs. Some of the suggestions on this thread go back 4 years.
I submitted Jan Cotta for a different case and she was ruled out within days. It would have been easier to rule her out for this UP, I would think, with skeletal remains and dentition, because she h ad a club foot and bad teeth and had not had any dental work, according to her Charley project: Jan Andre Cotta – The Charley Project

I created a new recon based on the NCMEC CT Scan recon.

(Note that since I do not have access to any postmortem photos of this Jane Doe, I am basing this facial reconstruction on a CT-Scan facial reconstruction (based on skeletal remains), and is only intended to give a general sense of how she might have looked in life.

Fine details such as eye shape and color, and the shape of the lips, eyebrows, etc. are not intended to be exact depictions.)

You do such excellent work, CarlK.

Is her nose as thin and sharp as their recon makes it look? It also seems somewhat lopsided.

Yes, the DoeNet description indicates that her nose leans left at the bridge, and back to the right at the tip.

"Thin nose with the bridge swayed slightly left with the tip to the right. High forehead and a strong, tilted chin."

Thanks. I was on my phone and it's hard to tell, and hard to follow links...

Apparently the police have a pretty good idea of what happened to this poor girl.
.
Most likely she was abducted and murdered by 2 locals. I don't think they were charged on her case, however they were convicted of the murder of a different person, who they killed within a day at so of her disappearance .

They actually managed to cremate the remains of the other victim, at an animal shelter/hospital.

I am led to believe - the common consensus is she suffered the same fate.

None of this is official.

The above was supposed to be in response to the Barbara Alecsevich post on page 2. Sorry.

Not about the subject of this post.

A white seal on the plastic read "National Sanitation Foundation, Testing Laboratory 8505." According to records, such a testing laboratory did not exist.

Of course, that's what THEY want you to think.

<modsnip: bad link>

I couldn't find any other photos to tell what her nose is really like, but it looks like it could be similar, and her jaw and chin seem to be long and sharp, similar to the UID. Her strongest resemblance is to the original sketch.

Wolf Street in Syracuse is a bit under 4 hours directly down I-81 to the place where the body was found. Charley says she may have left with someone on a motorcycle. 1100 Wolf St to Fort Indiantown Gap

With such a high potential identification rating, I'm surprised there aren't any rule outs listed.

That's what I thought when I saw her, she seemed similar to the sketch to me. I mean on doenetwork it said she was hitch hiking also and could had possibly caught a ride with the wrong person. It's also only a month between the does estimated death and Rosemary's missing date. I think it could be possible.
