I would love to see one of their ads from the 80's.
I bet it changed some.
I was hoping that on a grocery bag or in a news ad maybe the whole logo would be in a horizontal line rather than offset & stacked as it appears in this current online image.shadowangel said:Actually, it looks about the same as I remember from the '70s.

Good possibility as the logo letters are all caps. Great prices too.Boatswain'sMate said:Here's a link to an old Fazio's ad. The logo font looks very similar.

I think that it may be possible that the number is actually a 3 digit one, with 49 being the first two digits. The problem is that the bag is torn and part of it missing, while there are stretches, stains and wrinkles on the remaining portion.Boatswain'sMate said:One problem I've thought of, though, is that that's a pretty old logo, fifties or sixties, maybe? I don't think people used plastic grocery bags then.
Also, what could the "49" be, as it's clearly a part of the over-all logo. I can't find anything called "Fazio's 49."
Sure wish there was an image search that could base a search on something like, "bag, retail, red, white, fa*, 49."
