Ok I stalked someone online from Faygo and they said that it was not something from them. Back to square one...

While I am thinking of it, could this be a foreign named company even though the ad is printed in English?

Just to let you know, when I e-mailed Faygo they deleted my e-mail (I could check the status of the e-mail because I have AOL and they also have an AOL account) and whoever I talked to said that they don't open e-mails with attachments. In the future it might be better to just send a link to the pennsylvaniamissing site and just give them directions to just scroll down to the bottom. I'd resend the e-mail you sent with just the link and no pictures to make sure that they open it.

After blowing up the picture i belive the letters ATED appear on the bottom not ATER and after that I see the Letters PA. I am wondering if this bag was manufactred at the associated Bag company of pennsylvania. See link.

Is someone who is more comfortable then I contacting people would like to send the picture of the bag to the associated bag company to see if it is their bag and they can identify it that would be great.
Does anyone think if this is the company that manufactured the bag they could identify the logo on it?

Also I found the following:

40 Prince Farm Co. - New York City New York
40 Prince Street, New York City NY 10012

In 1948, he bought Hastings Drug and in future years, opened pharmacies in Foote Clinic and Weber Clinic. Later he combined them into the nations first drive-in drug store, Fay’s Drive-In Drug Store. He sold his business in 1978 to Keith Moul and moved to Sun City, Arizona, moving back to Hastings, Nebraska in February of 2004.

OK I haven't posted in a while but this thread caught my eye. I can't believe how good you guys are at coming up with ideas. There are a lot of possibilities here, but just to add a couple more:

Does anyone remember a store/company with Fav-o-rite in the title? Seems like I do, but maybe I'm mistaken.

On a separate idea, could the word fashion be involved---maybe from a department store or mall?

Also---seems like some convenient stores were called Fast N Go or something like that???

Don't know if these ideas will help or hinder. Wish I had better ones.

What we are seeing may be the backside of the bag. Original vendor may sell advertising for the back and have their regular ad on the front. Maybe we are seeing an ad for 49 cent slushies, 49 cent tacos, whatever but the store name would be on the other side.

I am intrigued by the ATER OR ATEN, feeling like its the name of a town or warehouse where this came from.

The red and white factor is also interesting. Personally I remember two places that used r&w. Rite aid drugs and Circle K, then there was actually a grocery store chain called Red and White, its location I am not familiar with.

Does anyone remember:

Fava Shoes
their sign was really strange, you could hardly tell that was the way it was spelled. Seems like it had a big sprawling v that reached over the top of the other letters.
I have been working on the aspect of CLO, instead of the 49.
Ad is only wide enough for several letters
Fava
CLOGS
Shoes were not mention in what they found with her.

personally i think this idea is ridiculous.

Any one have any idea what grocery store could have those letters???

Pieces of a white, plastic bag resembling a grocery bag were found in the grave with the remains. The bag had red lettering. The letters are believed to be "FA", "O" and "ATER".

I heard back from the guy at the DC Grocery site. He suggested Fazio's, and I told him we'd been round and round about that already. Invited him to come over here and join in.

going back to the 49 cents

Sound Video, which is now Blockbusters, had a lure for customers with the 49 cent over night video rental.

I remember Fava Shoes.. But I think the bags were of better quality and not the grocery store type...
