Her name on FB is spelled with one "e". There is a Heather Rene Short age 46 who was arrested 10 times in PA. (www.searchquarry.com) Not knowing her birthdate, it could be someone with the exact name that's the same age who lives in her county, unlikely but possible. But what was odd was the charges, retail theft, receiving stolen property, and assault were ALL dismissed. Whomever this person it, it could stand to reason someone, an ex, a former friend, tried to frame her by making false charges. I've never seen anyone with that many arrests have every single one dismissed. The county court database backed this up. My gut is it's this woman and someone may have done her harm, or she's hiding from someone that has ill will towards her.

Maybe I’m reading it wrong, but there are arrests from 2011 until Nov 13 of this year. It lists a guilty plea on several of them.

But if you go to the actual county court record it shows all charges dismissed, so maybe a glitch in their database.

It would be nice to know where she was last seen and by whom. A friend of hers says she was last seen early Wednesday the 7th. Also that her car was found but not her. So where was her car found?

ALLEGHENY COUNTY & WESTMORELAND COUNTY — A man has been arrested for homicide after the disappearance of 46-year-old Heather Short, of Dravosburg, who went missing in November of last year.

Heather Short's remains were found Wednesday, police said, in a wooded area along Scott Haven Road in Sewickley Township, Westmoreland County. Detectives believe Short was killed inside a West Mifflin home and her body was then loaded into a vehicle and dumped into the wooded area.

Homicide detectives said they identified 36-year-old Dale Cooper as the person responsible for Short's death. Cooper was arrested at 8:48 Wednesday night in Homestead.

Cooper is charged with Criminal Homicide, Tampering With Physical Evidence, and Abuse of a Corpse.

An article with some more information ... I don't think they randomly found her. Either someone knew something and had to offer the location up or they were already on to this guy.

Arrest made in missing Dravosburg woman's death after her body was found Wednesday

Homicide detectives located Short’s skeletal remains in a wooded area along Scott Haven in Sewickley Township, Westmoreland County, around 10:25 a.m. Wednesday. The location is just a few hundred yards from the Allegheny County border.​

Detectives determined Cooper was responsible for her death and arrested him Wednesday night.​

She was last seen around 10 pm. Nov. 6 on Third Street in West Mifflin, where she was staying with friends.

Relatives said earlier she had childhood illness that led to the degradation of her right hip, and she had more than 70 surgeries as a result.​

Her mother, Valerie Graham, said Short graduated from Carlow College and was a teacher until she became a victim of drug addiction. It started when Short relied on Oxycontin and other prescription opiates to manage her pain.​

‘You’re going to help me or you are next:’ Witness details slaying of Dravosburg woman

Information from a witness helped police find the remains of a Dravosburg woman who’d been missing for more than two months and also helped investigators identify her alleged killer.​

Dale Cooper, 36, is charged with killing Heather Short, who was reported missing on Nov. 10.​

According to a criminal complaint, a witness told police that on Nov. 7, Cooper awakened the witness to tell them he needed help.​

The witness went to Cooper’s bedroom inside the home in West Mifflin and saw Short lying dead on the floor with an extension cord wrapped around her neck.​

The witness told police Cooper said to them, “You’re going to help me or you are next.”

According to the criminal complaint, Cooper told the witness he killed Short because he was concerned she was going to tell a drug dealer that Cooper robbed him for an ounce of cocaine and $700.
