Police Searching For Missing Upper Darby Woman Last Seen At Center City Bakery

Police are looking for a missing 29-year-old Upper Darby woman they say was last seen in Philadelphia on Thursday.

Hope Meussner was last seen at her Center City bakery job at 17th and Market Streets.

They say she worked her last shift Thursday and hasn’t been seen since.

She left her cellphone behind in the bakery’s bathroom and left before clocking out.

Hope Meussner has no history of drug abuse or mental illness. She also doesn’t have a car and uses public transportation.

I don't like the fact that she left her cell phone behind and left before her shift ended. I hope this isn't another self harm thing. Prayers for Hope to found safe and sound soon.

Suppose she received an emergency message on her phone (call or text) and left "on the run." Something maybe causing her to panic and run off without her phone or without clocking out. I'm probably reaching but will wait for here for more (if any) about the phone.

Did she usually take her cell phone with her when she left work? Did she usually clock out?
Did anyone actually see her leave on Thursday? Did she seen upset when she left the bakery? Did she leave with anyone?
Was anyone at the bakery good friends with her?

Mercedes, so many good questions. If only we could get the answers.

Could she have gotten a call or message to meet someone outside... then never returned? I hope there is video around there.

I found her address and white pages listing. She lives with two people with the same last name so likely parents or spouse and child. I'm stating this is it could have been a family emergency and she had to leave in a hurry.

The residence is NOT close to the bakery (which isn't CALLED the Center City Bakery, no such place, it's just a bakery IN Center City which is part of Philly.) But her home is on a bus route. However, if she went home quickly to the family why didn't someone see her on the news and say "hey, she's NOT missing?"

You are correct. The reference Center City refers to the part of Philly she was seen in. Center City is a section of town. The bakery she was last seen is called The Corner Bakery which is located at 17th and JFK Blvd.

A little more news here. Apparently, she still lives at home. (The names I found as the family on her White Pages listing are her Mom and Dad, NOT a spouse and child). Her Mom says she always comes home after her shift is over. She was seen changing out of her work clothes, leaving her shift an hour early and left her cell phone behind. Police search for Upper Darby woman missing since last Thursday

It’s starting to sound like she wanted to disappear. The cellphone was either forgotten or left behind intentionally. Jmo

My neck of the woods...literally in walking distance. Its crazy when the topics hit home like this. Upper Darby is the next township west of Philly. Her job to home is about 45 minutes depending on traffic / public transportation. Despite the opioid situation being prevalent in this part of town, they are saying there's no history of addiction, so its unlikely she ran off on a bender. This is really a head-scratcher. When someone leaves their fone, assuming its intentional, its usually when they don't want to be tracked. If she was 19, we'd say run away. Its rare for people to just... "dissapear."

I am glad she was found but I really feel for the parents. This had to have been a horrible experience for them.
