An Adams County man is behind bars with bail at $2 million bail on charges involving rape of a child less than 13 years old. Robert Benjamin Carbaugh, 54, of Gettysburg, was arrested on Sunday. He went to the victim’s home at about 3 am on December 27. He went to the child’s bedroom and sexually assaulted her. He then told the victim not to tell anyone or he would get into trouble.
