Woman missing after walking out of East Stroudsburg assisted-living home, police say

State police say a 53-year-old woman who suffers from schizophrenia walked out of an assisted living home in East Stroudsburg last week and has not been seen or heard from since then.

At around 2:30 a.m. Friday, Iwona T. Ciezza walked away from Milford Manor, 2200 Milford Road, state police’s criminal investigations unit in Stroudsburg said. Ciezza suffers from schizophrenia and may not have taken her prescribed medication, police said.

Ciezza is known to walk from place to place in the East Stroudsburg area, but has not returned back to Milford Manor, police said.

Ciezza was last seen wearing a hooded sweatshirt with gray sleeves, police said. She also wore white stretch leggings and white, pink and silver-colored sneakers, police said. She is 5-foot-2 and 95 pounds.
