Ok, here's a question. In the link ckwood32 posted above (which was chock full of info) it stated that Michael owned 95% of the family business and his dad owned 5%. There was testimony from a woman who claimed she had an affair with MR in 2003 and that his dad found out and threatened him financially if he were to continue with the mistress.

My question is if MR owns 95% of the biz how would the father have the ability to take back all but a quarter of the funeral home as is stated in the article?

I'm wondering it at that time his father still had the majority of control over the business. That was 6 yrs ago. The father may have given him most of the business in the last few years. I do believe it father is up there in years.

I'll try to find some info out on that because now you have my curiousity up.

LANCASTER, Pa. -- Michael Roseboro, a Lancaster County funeral home owner, was convicted of murdering his wife Thursday afternoon in a Lancaster Courtroom.

The jurors, 8 women and 4 men, deliberated for about 5 hours. Shortly before 3 p.m. they let the court know they had reached a verdict. Then one-by-one, in the presence of the court, each said "guilty." None of the jurors looked at Roseboro as they announced their finding.

I do believe justice was served in this case.

For some reason, I'm not sure he did it. I think he was convicted on too much circumstantial evidence... That said, I don't think the jurors deliberated on the facts of the case... Call me crazy cuz, well, I am...

Really, Trishy? Why? Anything specific why you think it could have been someone else?

Well, it was determined that she was strangled from behind. If someone had me in a choke hold, I wouldn't be scratching at their face. I'd be kicking furiously backwards and throwing my head backwards in an attempt to injure them in some way. I also don't see how, if I was the one inflicting the choke hold, I would get scratches on my face.

The case cracker was his DNA under her fingernails? I just don't think that's enough if she truly was scratching his back earlier...

That said, the man was a chronic cheater. He didn't kill his wife over any previous affairs. Why now? IMO, AF was no prize!

IMO, the prosecution did not prove beyond a reasonable doubt that only he could have done it. He very well may have but the prosecution didn't do their job. There were too many holes. What about the suspicious people spotted in the area that night? What if Sam came home a little earlier and found him killing his mother? The party he went to was right down the block. What if one of the other kids woke up in the middle of it? Too many what if's. Where is all of the blood? Where is the jewelry?

I just watched 48 hrs on this case and believe the jury got it right. If someone else had done it, there should have been blood as a murderer from the outside would not have cleaned up.
And when was she giving him a backrub to account for the DNA under her nails, he was with his mistress all day?
Also he may have strangled her last before throwing her into the pool, they may have grappled a little at first when he first attacked her, enough for her to scratch him.
It just is not reasonable to think that someone else came into their backyard and took a chance that a woman sitting out there was going to be alone long enough to kill her-also she was shown not to have been wearing her jewelry that day so why would she pile on $40K worth of jewelry to go swimming? That made no sense at all, not to mention a passing robber would harldy expect a woman at a pool to be a good target for a worthy take.
No one else had a motive to want her dead. I feel sorry for his kids and think his sister and mother are in serious denial. They go on and on about how they know him so well, but don't really want to talk about his affair; obvoiusly they did not know him that well.
In most cases...the obvious suspect is the right one. We are seeking reasonable doubt in our courts, not absolute without a doubt , doubt. If it is more likely than not and the scenario presented fits with the facts...well you have to vote guilty.
If he had not been having an affair (motive) than I would listen a little closer to his protestations of innocence...but that with the other stuff adds up for me.

you know i felt the two of them, him and his girfriend, were in on it together.

not like he could turn around and say 'yeah but she helped!' after he was charged, could he?

I couldn't stand listening to his 911 call. No emotion whatsoever. It was beyond creepy. I am convinced he killed his wife. I am also convinced that Angie knows more than she is telling. They were a toxic couple.
