A Chester County dad has been missing for nearly two weeks, and loved ones are asking members of the public for help.

Jason Woods, 42, of Downingtown, was last seen on Wednesday, Oct. 12, family members said in Facebook posts.

Woods is described as 5-foot-9 weighing about 160 pounds. He has dark brown hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing dark shoes with black pants, a black hoodie with red and white lettering on the sleeves, and a small, black backpack, according to loved ones.

Woods has not showed up to work at BJ's Wholesale Club since Oct. 12, nor has he made contact with his children, both of which are unusual, family members say.

He does not have car and will most likely be on foot, they added. A missing persons report has been filed, one friend said. If spotted, contact Downington Township Police Department at 610-269-0263.

Cute, friendly-looking guy -- sounds like he was just trying to earn a living, and now -- just gone. I'm sure there are people who love him and are very worried. Two weeks missing and no contact is alarming.

Be advised, there is a Jason Woods of that age with criminal history in PA but it is NOT the same birth month and day as the missing Jason. Different person, same name and age. I couldn't find anything on him outside of posts of concern from family and friends looking for him.

There is a very dense section of woods between Rt30, Woodbine Rd, Bishop Shanahan HS and Whiteland Ave. It is one of the very few areas between his job and the borough. The sidewalk along Rt30 between his job and the borough is easy walking. I think that if he were in the Downingtown Country Club, he would have been found by the grounds crew. There is also the flooded quarry pit on the west side of boot road. Not sure how much it is monitored by the quarry.

They won't track his phone and haven't gotten his banking information from his employer to see when he used his bank last so anyone who has information please reach out.

Has anyone pressed them to a reason WHY? Is there any indication that he left voluntarily?

None of the regional search teams will come in to help without being invited by the police or other responsible borough authority. It has to do with their liability insurance. Volunteer searching is not prohibited if permission from the landowner is secured in advance.

I searched for an update but couldn't find one. There were two MP profiles from PA removed in the past few hours and the Resolved Cases for PA went up by 2, so it's very probable that both have been resolved, although we can't know for sure until an announcement is made.
