Jones, despite his junior class and status as a first-year starter, is slated to play at West Virginia.

Jones is the brother of Robert Morris and former Penn State quarterback Paul Jones, who starred at Sto-Rox before graduating in 2010.

Jeremiah said West Virginia's coaches called him every week during the recruitment process and he feels he will fit in well in the Mountaineers' spread and read-option offenses.

New details, but no suspect, in case of slain former high school quarterback

Mr. Jones was still alive when an Uber driver came upon him in the road.

County homicide investigators believe Mr. Jones, who was pronounced dead at 3:30 a.m., had been brought to that location and shot at the scene, as "numerous spent shell casings and bullet fragments were found" at the scene.
