He will enter a plea on April 2 at his formal arraignment. I'm commenting that he really needs to plea guilty. There's no way out. A trial will just put her family through hell.

Everytime I come in here to catch up on this thread, it makes me sick to my stomach to recall what this guy did. It would be really nice if he would just make a deal with the D.A. and quietly go away, never to be seen again.
Taking this to trial is going to be especially cruel for the surviving family members. Imagine them having to sit in a courtroom while the video Graf made of himself with Jessica is playing on the screen. For those familiar with the Jodi Arias trial, this would be the equivalent of not only having the photo's she took during the killing, but having an actual video of her killing him.
Hopefully, Graf will decide not to air all of his dirty laundry in a courtroom either. Does he deserve a defense ? I suppose he does. Is it going to work with a jury ? No way.......there is NO defense for what he did to her.
I hope for their own well being that her friends and family excuse themselves while this video is played. Once they see it, they can NEVER unsee it. I don't think it benefits any of them to watch this horrendous thing.
I do feel very sorry for the jurors, who will have no choice but to watch it. And if Graf even believes for a second that any of these jurors are going to find him innocent of his crimes, then he truly is as crazy as he's pretending to be.
In his defense, Graf intends to claim some combination of insanity, mental illness or diminished capacity, according to McMahon, who has suggested his client suffered "an instantaneous mental health breakdown."
